Dave, please stop it mate. There’s only so much tempting fate that I can cope with.I think this first set of exit polls are going to indicate that Biden is firmly on his way to the White House.

We'll have to agree to disagree or at least to an extent. He has been getting his message across since January. I think he was winding down. He was giving an example of the grip he has on his local issues in his home state, that’s what a good politician does. Sure he mumbled and stumbled a bit. Who knew?
Look, this election, since the horror of 2016, has been about one thing and one thing only - defeat Trump and take Trumpism with it.He seemed at times incoherent and frequently 'bumbled' from one point to another without really taking hold of the conversation or getting his point across.
Understandably, it's a stressful time and he's probably exhausted from a heavy campaign trail, which you've got to give him credit for considering his age.
Yet, he didn't come across well - statesman like. It's only a snippet of course and I expect you've got a much more comprehensive knowledge of him than I do.
No, of course not. And like I've said above before I saw your reply, you have to give him credit for being out there and taking the local avenue etc.
Nevertheless, I personally don't feel that he really handled the questions well, and I would have expected him, at this point, to get his message across.*
If I was American, I'd vote for Biden every single day, but my impression of him from this and other examples isn't great.
*By speech, I meant communicating his message.
I agree. As my brother declared, anyone who swings the balanced back towards a President who is even resembles a statesman should be chosen.Look, this election, since the horror of 2016, has been about one thing and one thing only - defeat Trump and take Trumpism with it.
Biden was ultimately the guy chosen as the best to be able to defeat Trump. That's ALL that matters right now. None of us love Biden - he's a 78 year old public servant. But he's a decent human being and will restore some semblance of honor to the presidency and hopefully to our standing in the rest of the world.
Biden will be a good bridge from the chaos of Trump to whatever happens in 2024 - hopefully the country is on track again by then
They’re a decent indicator, as the expectation is that Trump will take a huge percentage of the in person vote today, if that doesn’t transpire then he’ll be annihilated.Surely exit polls are irrelevant because most voted early or by post?
Demographic trends within them will indicate who's on the march...Surely exit polls are irrelevant because most voted early or by post?

Let's put it this way - I feel pretty confident Biden will surround himself with much better people than Trump has in his administration. For example, he won't have his son in law roaming around making policy decisions and his sons and daughter going on field trips with him to meet other heads of state.I agree. As my brother declared, anyone who swings the balanced back towards a President who is even resembles a statesman should be chosen.
Maybe my concerns are more about his ability to 'hold the fort' in a way that'll ensure that Trump, or whoever follows him, can't take the reigns in '24.
