So far so good with a week to go, hopefully Biden can keep up the momentum. I doubt Trump will get Suburban women to vote for him at anywhere close to the rate they did in 2016.
Took me 5 mins to vote because the republicans have no interest in suppressing the vote in Massachusetts. Only DC is polling higher for Biden. Why do some Americans have to wait hours to vote? Longest I've ever waited over here is about 2 minutes. Are there very limited numbers of polling stations?
Come and live in England if that happens lol
Yeah, so back off @neil999I reserved @Boss_Blue 's shed for this very reason about 5 years ago.
The undecided voters disapprove of Trump by a 2:1 margin, 60-30, so there's some upside for Biden there
@BirkenheadBlue promised shelter for my wife and me.I reserved @Boss_Blue 's shed for this very reason about 5 years ago.
@BirkenheadBlue promised shelter for my wife and me.
Wait a sec. Now that I think about it, I believe the offer was just for my wife!
(New reporting from TX: with the vote reaching 82% of the turnout in 2016, nearly 15% of that vote has no general election or primary voting history. Weird doings in these parts.)
wow, when does early voting close in Texas?@BirkenheadBlue promised shelter for my wife and me.

In some areas of my state, there are *50* races and referendums (along with the other issues you raise). All to be voted on individually. No straight-party voting any longer.Took me 5 mins to vote because the republicans have no interest in suppressing the vote in Massachusetts. Only DC is polling higher for Biden.
If you are in a swing state, the party with the declining demographics (usually republicans) do everything they can to limit the vote. Usually Republicans do well with lower voter turnout. So they limit polling stations, they limit polling workers, they limit early voting hours, they limit mail in voting, they constantly shift the rules.
Another reason voting is quicker for you is that you are usually voting for one MP in your constituency, here you have to vote for 8 or 10 people in different positions as well as several referendums.
This year we have to vote for President, senator and several other lower positions as well as two referendums. (that differs from state to state).
Friday.wow, when does early voting close in Texas?
One might also point out to our friends overseas that in the United States the election process is overseen by the various state governments rather than the federal government, so whichever party controls the statehouse has a lot of power to try to suppress (or expand) the vote.Took me 5 mins to vote because the republicans have no interest in suppressing the vote in Massachusetts. That feels like a concern? I'm sure I read something saying that Republicans have been out-registering Dems when it comes to new voters, because they've not been avoiding face to face contact due to the pandemicWait a sec. Now that I think about it, I believe the offer was just for my wife!

And happily, Republicans aren't in a position to do it in true blue Massachu.
