Yeah, governors have no such thing. I looked it up a long time ago after he'd left office but was still calling himself governor. He's an odd one.

I don't think anything is official, but former political titles generally remain as an honorific. Clinton is still mentioned as Secretary Clinton. Giuliani is still often called Mayor, etc.
