TNS POLL LAB 33% (+1), CON 30% (-3), LIB DEM 8% (0), UKIP 19% (+3), GREEN 4% (-1), OTHER 7 (0)

Last 3 polls now gone Labour's way by 1%-3%.

I think they'd be well advised to take that spin supremo Lynton Crosby out round the back and bullet him. He's overseeing a disaster for the Tories here.

...and now he commits the crime for a spin doctor of becoming an election story/issue himself.

Oh dear. It's not Lynton's campaign this one, I dont think.

Hung parliament, anyone?
It's heading that way. The only hope (if I can use that term with regard to the Tories) for a non-messy outcome was if the Tories got a boost of about 4% off economic news and put them over the line (or just short of it with a continuation of a coalition with LDs). It could still happen, I suppose, but it's receding as a serious prospect now.

The outcome on May 7th is going to be a dogs breakfast. I bet the odds for a quick second election in 2015 has come right down in the last few days.

going to get dirty this election as they all get desprate near the day, i have a feeling one scandal or another will play a big part in it.
Economic news not that good today export of goods from the Uk at its lowest since sept 2010, spin that one DC

The Tories will definitely see some kind of boost as we get closer to the election - Labour need to hope that they can open up a 5-6% gap before that happens if they want a majority. The Tories haven't started their main policy announcements yet, whereas Labour have, so that could be a factor.

It's already a dirty election, the personal attacks from all sides are embarrassing.

Labour attack Cameron for being rich (hardly his fault), the Tories attack Miliband for stabbing his brother in the back (who wouldn't...). It's cringeworthy.

No one will get a majority.

As for the Tories launching their policies: they've trailed them already and they've had a pretty tepid response. Here's how confident the Tories are at the moment on how much their policies will resonate with the publc: they've decided to delay their manifesto launch because they just found out Labour were launching their's that day (next Monday). It's shambolic from the Tories.

Here's Yougov's latest projection

That is an utter disaster for the Tories at this stage.

They could still turn this and possibly will to become the largest party, but that just leaves a massive mess to work from on May 8th trying to do deals with flaky parties like UKIP or the DUP.

Dont know about you but its turning me of it, sooner they talked about there plans than score pionts of each other.
Cant call it think there are so many diffrent things in play, how will the Lib vote hold up, they have 11 in scotland alone , none safe.
Have Ukip shot themselves in the foot in the north , with talk of a Tory deal and how many of there voters from the euro elections will go back to the big to the big 2.
I think as it stands the tory party will get the most seats , but not enough to form a goverment, so after that its up in the air.

They'll have the bazookas lined up for the final stretch, no question.

I still think they'll eventually make the 'dont leave Labour in charge of the accounts again FFS!' line work to decent effect. I think that does find favour with voters (the thick ones who wont realise the Tories were in on it all too before the crash).

I'm not sure it gets them to a point where they just comfortably turn to their LD doormats again to bolster their numbers and trundle on for another 5 years though. We're well out of that territory right now.

He'll garner a lot more respect and credibility around here if he does.

I cannot, in good conscience, do that. Wouldn't accept myself if I did. These issues need to be exposed otherwise they're going to continue and if people simply deny that this happened, the issue it won't be dealt with.

It's not an opinion though, it's hate speech. You're calling huge swathes of people pedophile supporters and racists.

Just so you are absolutely clear where I am coming from I have been a member of the Labour Party since 1984.

Just as in every area of society I am sure there have been, are and will be paedophiles within the party, no more or less than any other political party.

You are completely wrong with your statement that the LP is "a party of paedophiles"

If you are referring to the allegations regarding PIE and NCCL then I suggest you read the various statements made by Harman and Dromey and consider your statement in the light of those statements.

Perhaps you will have the decency then to withdraw the remark.

It's true though. There has a huge history of Labour MPs and representatives convicted for such things. It only takes a couple of minutes to find pages of reports.

As for the hate speech remark, isn't that ironic? How many people a day call UKIP a party of racists. That's not hate speech though, is it? But not all members are racist, right? Of course not. At no point did I mention that if you're a member of the Labour party you're a paedophile, but you do support a party with a very, very saddening past. That needs to be made clear. There's also a considerable amount of Conservative representatives also charged with such allegations, but no party more so than Labour. I'll happily stop mentioning this as it's obviously something people just don't want to see. I certainly wasn't the one who brought it up again.

For those who disagree re the SNP and their nationalism, here's a nice picture of a core of SNP supporters. The party isn't fuelled by rampant xenophobia and racism towards the English at all, right? That continued throughout the entire debate and then afterwards.
