He's promised one but only by 2017. That would just allow him to drag it out ensuring UKIP support...not something Ukip would allow in negotiations.But Cameron has promised (again) and "In/Out" referendum. I know he doesnt want one, well I dont "know", but my guess is he doesnt in an ideal world. So yeah, he would much prefer a LD coalition.
I am resigned to a coalition of some sort, just do not want UKIP or the SNP anywhere near one. I fear I will be disappointed.
