I knew he was in ill health but he seemed very jovial and a decent guy in his posts. A real shock. RIP Vijay.

My thoughts are with you and your family Deepak.
I (we) always enjoyed your fathers Knowledgeable contributions and heartfelt passion for the Blues.
He will be missed by all on GOT.

RIP Vijay

R.I.P Vijay, thanks for the time you spent with us. We will miss a valuable contributer. My thoughts are with your family

Greetings everybody here,

We have got the death certificate from our doctor which states myocardial infarction (heart attack) as the cause of death. He had many of these over the last few years as well as diabetes, angina and he had both legs removed. Although he was unwell for a long time he lived for his family especially his grandchildren. My son Harij who is just seven has been hit very hard by his death as he worshiped his grandad and reveled in his tales of old games and who used to play for Everton.

All your comments have been a great source of comfort in what is a difficult time. I have relayed them to my mum and brothers and sister Sirushi.

Again, thank you.

Deepak.
Wonderful

I am preying to my many Gods this is true. And if I could stand up I would. Instead I will do what my grandson calls a 360 in my electric wheelchair.

Finally it's good to be strongly linked with a class player.

I'm quite on new here Deepack. Having lost my Dad some 11 years ago, the last post I saw from your Dad (above) REALLY made me smile! Reminded me so much of the old man's spirit and self-deprecation even though he too was incapacitated ! May he rest in peace! My deepest thoughts to you and all your family. x

I'm lost for words. Thank you for your contributions, Vijay. We'll all be thinking of you when The Skies are Grey (and even when they aren't).

I wish for you all that you wish yourselves. May his dear soul rest in peace.

Thank you, both of you.

TD

RIP Vijay.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. I can't confess to knowing him that well but i was really starting to warm to him.

This must be a terrible time for you all. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

I'm so sorry there mate about your old man. I myself lost my arl fella awhile back at the age of 52. Life is cruel in a perspective but also good ;)(being a blue).

But for whats it's worth ; it will be hard at first....... but i can assure you it does get much easier after time.

One thing is . YOU WILL NEVER FORGET!

p.s
It's a shame, kids these days take parents for granted :(.
never know what they had till its gone.

How sad. My sympathies to you and all your family Deepak. Your Dad was instantly recognisable on this forum because the posts seemed to come out in a funny font - so you knew it was him.

Like all regular posters here, I hope that he (as I do) felt a connection with fellow blues everywhere because we share memories and a common passion for our club. Sounds like he was a true blue through and through.

I hope that you and your family can find some peace and comfort in knowing that a there's a group of other equally passionate fans all round the world thinking about you and your Dad right now.

Nice touch Dan an mods, done with a bit of class....

R.I.P Vijay. Enjoy your game of footie with bally, Dixie, labby an the rest of the boys.

My sincere sympathies to your family Deepak.

I hope that you're all able to come together and mourn in the way that you choose.
