In the short time that he was on this forum, he struck me as someone who was always positive, not only about Everton but also more importantly his own disability, he even joked about it in a thread about saving petrol costs in the Ale house forum.I laughed at what he posted but i also admired his strength and optimism despite all he suffered, his passing is a big loss for this forum too.

Have not been a member for long and dont really post just normally read other peoples posts. Would also like to say RIP Vijay.

Deepak hope you can find comfort in your memories of your dad.

Take care and hope you visit the site often.

Hello friends.

Hello everybody,

My family has asked me to convey their most sincere gratitude for the very touching gesture that was undertaken today between eleven o clock and halve past.

Today we have been preparing the body in line with our traditional Hindu beliefs ready for cremation.

Thank you again, Deepak.

RIP Vijay

I usually lurk here on the forum and just read others comments with a few posts here and there.

I would just like to send my deepest sympathies to his family and everyone who knew him.

So sorry to hear about your father. I don't think our paths crossed on here, but hearing how long he'd been following the Blues and the the amount he would have known, I'm sorry I didn't get to speak to him

RIP Veejay.

I feel privileged that I was able to read about his opinions of our beloved Everton before he died.

All the best wishes to you and your family. you should feel proud that you got him online and sharing his opinions. I am sure it gave him a lot of pleasure, and it certainly gave us pleasure.

Sorry to hear of your loss, I enjoyed reading VJ's posts - always positive and very wise.

I am truly disturbed by this news and got shivers up my spine reading your post.

I haven't been on this board for long so I never knew your Dad but all Evertonians on the Everton boards I post on are people I look at as friends. You and you family genuinely are in my thoughts at the moment.

It seems to be a year of shocking news. I read this article with a heavy heart having just lost two dear mates suddenly over recent weeks, both blues and this week finding out that my sister has been diagnosed with leukemia, now this.

Deepak have faith mate, he will be looking down at us all wondering what the heck we are all upset for, but upset we are. Remember he will see every game next season for nothing.

Please accept my heart felt condolences at your very sad loss your dad was a good knowledgeable \blue who will be sadly missed by us all. Sometimes life is far more important than footie

I dont think I ever really discussed anything with your dad, in recent times ive tended to lurk more than anything without posting too much.

But I certainly noticed his posts!

I'd just like to echo those who knew him better's condolences and sentiments.

Take care of yourself, and those around you the best you can in times like this.
