Lukaku looks shattered to me. It would be great to be in the position to give the kid a bit of a rest.

Hes doing well taking so much attention away from other players but the kid lives for goals...you can tell hes desperate for one.

His touch and hold up play havent been good the past couple of matches and hes left himself isolated.

I got slaughtered on here for saying we didnt play well against fulham. We didnt play particularly great yesterday either but who gives a [Poor language removed]! Were flying and just need to keep getting the 3 points by any means necessary.

I really think we should start jelavic in a game soon. No, really, i mean it. He looked good when he came in, in his last gane, except for the miss. However, lukaku hasnt come to any opportunities lately so just start him, see if he links up well. If he is ****e, bring on lukaku

"Except for missing a sitter"....and that is Jela's issue. He has had over an entire season to display his wares and has come up well short of what is required. Einstein said "insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results". Playing Jelavic, if not insane, is at a minimum, imprudent.

He had over an entire seaseon with moyes in charge. Moyes and strikers dont match. At least not after he have gotten to work with them for a while.

This. Jelavic's only skill was his first time shots and now he can't even hit the ball. He can't hold up play, he can't pass, he isn't a physical presence, he is constantly on the floor ... He has had no impact for at least the last year. If he can start doing some of the basic things right then yeah put him on but even when he was on form the only thing he was good at was scoring.

...managers have a 'model' which informs the shape of the team. He clearly likes mobile, strong running and powerful centre forwards and I simply don't think Jelavic fits that mould. I suspect this will be the 'type' he will try and bring in January.

Hello all!!! First post warning ahoy! Been a Toffee for more than 25 years here in deepest darkest West Wales. Took the opportunity yesterday to get to the game and am once again hooked. I am normally an egg chaser by heart but with the Welsh game about to implode my head's for turning. Took my lad (8yo) to the team hotel before the game and had the opportunity to meet most of the team for pics - we went to the Liberty and got treated to two stunning goals!! Loved it - we are looking for a Road Trip to see Cardiff at Goodison in March cannot wait!!! #COYB
