Sorry, Lukaku was EXACTLY the same player who arrived at Everton when he left.

I know he himself said he improved aspects of his game under the Galloot, but in reality he could not play with his back to goal, and his heading ability actually declined...which is staggering since it was practically the only thing the Galoot could teach him...and he taught it OUT of him.

That's some coach we have there.

Came to Everton and had the whole team built around him to maximise what he had. Result: lots of goals...leading to a big fee (not big enough given the inflated figures of the day).

Same player.

That's still a better team than the season opener three years ago when we played Deulofeu as a lone striker, and our midfield consisted of McCarthy, Barry and Gueye.
