Baffled me too. Didn't even give a yellow as far as I could tell. Couldn't have been a clearer goal scoring opportunity.
The man had lost his mind by then. Probably McCarthy had banged his head in the collision. How he can give a penalty and THEN ask the linesman is beyond me. Given the position of the linesman relative to where the incident took place why did he think the lineman would have anything to say on it? And anyway I thought all the officials were wired up these days so that the refs don't have to look like they're undecided.

thought he was going to the lino to ask if it was yellow or red, [Poor language removed] cost us two points today.

I'd suggest the reason for all the negativity on here is precisely because everyone else again dropped points. You point out that we are currently 'making do with players who are either past their best days' which begs the question as to why some of them weren't sold on and replaced.

I don't agree that the time to judge the manager is only when the project time, in 18 months, is complete. It is also valid to criticise the transition if you feel certain aspects of it could be handled better, and clearly many think it could. In any event how many football 'projects' ever go the distance?

He can't completely overhaul the squad in a couple of windows and nor would I want him to. I'd hate us to be spending on the levels of Spurs and them lot. New expensive squad playrs every window that rarely get used.

We are playing badly and struggling to get a run going. It happens and its a very tough league.

Not arsed with the whinging and moaning right now, its as silly as the overreaction when we win a game like on Thurs and think we are the bees knees.

Stupid Spanish moron needs to start playing people in actual proper footballing positions.

Honestly hes just making it all up as he goes along.

Buys a 28m striker and plays him as a target man, could have got Kevin Doyle to do that job for abar 6m, then we lose Barry and he plays freaking Gibson, who for the record is actually finished as a football player, utter, utter moron, I would honestly sack the waste of space.

Just like Moyes wasted a talented squad, this relegation sucking weapon is doing the same.

I would sack him, honestly, sack him and get somebody with a clue in.

Maybe he should buy FM2015 and try and get a clue.

For sure.

It seems to have worked for you.

Bill should fire Bobby and get The Goat to manage EFC.

Turbo gash.

I find it strange that there is hardly any young players on the bench .Even if they don't play they are getting
experience being around the older players. It would do no harm for the likes of Long to get a few minutes on the
pitch in games like Villa and Lille when Everton were three goals up and there was twenty minutes to go.

at the end of the day, you pick your squad of 18 to win the game - you can't put a youngster like long on the bench instead of an eto'o just so he can gain a few mins experience IN CASE we are 3-0 up. if we were drawing that game 0-0, we'd be fuming that long was taking up a space on the bench

Hopefully the authorities see what a massive clattenburg like mess Mason made of that decision and game and suspend the incompetent weapon.

A point away. Came back from behind. Could have won it. Still in decent position in the league. And we're top of our group in the EL. Honestly, stop whinging. The lack of perspective on here from some is truly laughable. We spent a lot on a striker and he's going through a bit of a patch, but honestly, you'd swear we'd spent 120 million over the summer the way some on here are going on. Get out your echo chamber and you'll see what most neutrals and pundits are saying: entertaining game against a team that were up for it and had a lot of spirit today. This place is beginning to sound like toffeeweb at its anti-Moyes nadir. We're a work in progress;we're not Barcelona. And Roberto is not a miracle worker. I'm listening to the reasonable analysis of mistakes made and tactical errors, but jesus it is hard to concentrate on that with all the howling.
