The only thing that is going for us this season,is everyone around us is doing just as bad,we are still only 4 points from 4th or just the 5 from 18th,results going for chelsea and saints really,if we were say 2nd/3rd/4th,you can bet your life everyone around/Just below us would be winning lol

And 5 points off the relegation zone. We're 11 games in, the table doesn't matter. What matters is that loads of teams are out of form and so it's a great chance to do what Southampton are doing and grab as many points as you can, and open up a lead between yourselves and the teams you expect to be competing with. But we're failing to do that and are stuck in a rut.
Totally agree. But 4th should be gone with the start to the season we've had.

It just winds me up mate how people are up martinez's arse, if this was moyes in charge people would be criticising him and rightly so. So why the difference[/B]? what have we done this season that is making what I'm saying crap? Our performances have been awful and if Utd and the RS were the teams of the past we would have the 7th place trophy already, we are relying on other teams slipping up for us to stay in the mix and it's frustrating.
if this was moyes in charge. . . I hope this is a wind up

No one should assume that at all. But the same things were being said in similar circumstances last season and Southampton have had a kind set of games so far, but have still done very well indeed.

Good on them.
dont get me wrong, i wouldn't say they are favourites obviously, its just when they're playing so much better footy than nearly everyone in the league, it's stupid to dismiss them. especially when the top 6 of last season bar chelsea look so poor.

I agree with that although Besic has a good passing range too.

I think the main reason is that Gibson has more experience dictating the tempo of a game. Besic is young and a bit unpredictable.

Personally I would play Besic as I think McCarthy has the ability and maturity to dictate the tempo. He did it at Wigan and I think McCarthy is a bit wasted.

...happy with that, be interesting which partnership RM goes with.

I can see them having a good go at the tougher teams they got coming up too. If they get an unlucky run of injuries to key players like us then I doubt they'll be able to sustain their run.

The only thing we have going for us is that everyone else is doing sh1te.

Arsenal, the red sh1te. Nobody wants to be in the top four. We could be well in there, but we've drawn far too many games. The start we've made this season will come back and bite us!!

Nothing to do with being in the Europa league either....

The bookies have them at almost 50/50.

Which is where I have them too but tbh it's looking like arsenal, Utd (who are coming into a bit of form), city and Chelsea at this point.

We can still do it but we need to buy a left sided winger, play Barkley and Lukaku in their favorite positions and get luckier with injuries.

None of which looks likely at this point.

I find it strange that there is hardly any young players on the bench .Even if they don't play they are getting
experience being around the older players. It would do no harm for the likes of Long to get a few minutes on the
pitch in games like Villa and Lille when Everton were three goals up and there was twenty minutes to go.

Stupid Spanish moron needs to start playing people in actual proper footballing positions.

Honestly hes just making it all up as he goes along.

Buys a 28m striker and plays him as a target man, could have got Kevin Doyle to do that job for abar 6m, then we lose Barry and he plays freaking Gibson, who for the record is actually finished as a football player, utter, utter moron, I would honestly sack the waste of space.

Just like Moyes wasted a talented squad, this relegation sucking weapon is doing the same.

I would sack him, honestly, sack him and get somebody with a clue in.

Maybe he should buy FM2015 and try and get a clue.
Missed OSMAN big time for the first 70mins

We need pace in the side, Kev provided that in spades, Sods law he gets injured

Must top sides have pacey players, There the ones who cause other teams the most problems, Whether it be bursting into the box or breaking through on the counter, At the moment we have the likes of McGeady,Lukaku,Eto,Pienaar and Barkley, Good players but not that quick

Buy pace you Spanish bulb
