I wasn't counting Europe.

Somehow we've been great in Europe.
3 at burnley
3 against villa and on the board again today.

We are scoring goals as a team mate. Doesnt matter what competition it is in, its still a game against 11 men. I will however chip in with the fact that we should be beating a swansea side at home and a poor sunderland outfit away. No excuses, we should be... even after mid week games; we have enough to get all 3 points in those games.

Especially when we want to kick on and improve on our position last season. We need to be winning these games, no doubt about it. Frustratingly I can see 60 points being enough for 4th. The way its going this season, I can see a record low will be enough for 4th.

*sigh* just why ? Supporting Everton is such a *sigh*

Stupid Spanish moron needs to start playing people in actual proper footballing positions.

Honestly hes just making it all up as he goes along.

Buys a 28m striker and plays him as a target man, could have got Kevin Doyle to do that job for abar 6m, then we lose Barry and he plays freaking Gibson, who for the record is actually finished as a football player, utter, utter moron, I would honestly sack the waste of space.

Just like Moyes wasted a talented squad, this relegation sucking weapon is doing the same.

I would sack him, honestly, sack him and get somebody with a clue in.

Maybe he should buy FM2015 and try and get a clue.

Beautiful

We're only 4 points of 4th. LOL.

And 5 points off the relegation zone. We're 11 games in, the table doesn't matter. What matters is that loads of teams are out of form and so it's a great chance to do what Southampton are doing and grab as many points as you can, and open up a lead between yourselves and the teams you expect to be competing with. But we're failing to do that and are stuck in a rut.

For sure.

It seems to have worked for you.

Bill should fire Bobby and get The Goat to manage EFC.

....I was wondering about this ahead of Barry's injury and thinking that perhaps RM thinks of Gibson as the natural cover for Barry and Besic for McCarthy. I agree that a Besic/McCarthy partnership appeals although Gibson has an expansive passing range. Lets not forget that Gibson hasn't had much football and is likely to get sharper with games.

Regardless, I expect both Gibson and Besic to start against the Hammers.
I agree with that although Besic has a good passing range too.

I think the main reason is that Gibson has more experience dictating the tempo of a game. Besic is young and a bit unpredictable.

Personally I would play Besic as I think McCarthy has the ability and maturity to dictate the tempo. He did it at Wigan and I think McCarthy is a bit wasted.

Love how there's this idea Southampton will automatically drop down as well. Personally think one would be nuts to assume we'll finish above them. That's not based on reality really.
No one should assume that at all. But the same things were being said in similar circumstances last season and Southampton have had a kind set of games so far, but have still done very well indeed.

Good on them.

Yet again Everton cannot capitalize on other results. Time after time. Arsenal, city, rs, spurs all dropping points AGAIN and we stand still.

Never qualify for the CL. We dont have the mental strength to push on.

Its one of these days where im like ' fook it, lets get the food out and eat the day away '. Screw my diet and all the good work ive done. Fried chicken ? Yes please... want that covered in BBQ blue ? Yes lad.... put it on bread too, lots of butter. Fook it, lets have a few beers to wash it down. Apple pie and custard blue? Yes mate... cheers.

Koff Everton

But in all seriousness, no major complaints with the starting 11 today, we have a few injuries and we are down to the bare bones, especially on the wings, personally I would have put Besic on instead of Barry, but Gibson didnt really do a lot wrong and it would be unfair to pin the blame on him for the staleness of our play.

Our league form is a slight concern, but history has shown, that for some reason, the majority of English teams fail to perform after a European game.

Maybe its the break in routine, the travelling, the lack of real training or just a lack of motivation, who know, certainly not the many managers who have suffered with the "Euro curse" over the years.

With regards today I would have set us up a little differently.

Howard
Coleman - Jags - Distin - Baines
Barry - McCarthy
Barkley ------- Besic
Lukaku - Eto'o
I would have fined Eto'o and Lukaku 5 weeks wages for everytime they drifted outwide and allowed the 2 best wingbacks in world football to provide the width, but hey, what do I know, I only won the CL 3 times in my first 5 years on FM.
