A bit harsh if Holgate gets dropped IMO Shamus on the bench perhaps?
Agree with this. I said it before, but I think tonight's selection will tell us a lot about Koeman. No way does Holgate deserve to be dropped. You could maybe understand if it was away to City or United or Liverpool, but tonight is a perfect game for Mason. I love Seamus like, but want him to have to earn his spot back.

Well I can't make the match as have a few issues but at least I can turn it off in the huff if we are getting stuffed.

Every cloud and all that.
The same as you but from the other side :) it will be a close game score wise...both sides needing a win.. ... don't see this being a draw mind. Whoever wants it more. On paper Everton should win it but I just can't get get the Martinez years out me head. I believe you have a great manager there now who will improve you beyond a mere also ran...you will be top 10 imo. I hope Sunderland have a great season...but it needs to start next week please :)

They will sit back and try and catch us on the break we have to score early to drag the out to score more IMO or expect an unlucky defeat!
We have to covert chances not had a bad start tonight's the best time to win with style, and goals COYB!

Moyes will have drilled his team to play in such manner as to make any KITAP1 strategy appear relatively cavalier and flamboyant. Tough game ahead; I am expecting a LOT of fume on here.

Just playing devil's advocate, but how exactly does Seamus earn his spot back? If during games he can't earn it without playing. If at training, he's been training with the team and perhaps he's already earned it at training

I don't really care either way, but many on here assume if seamus comes back into the team he will not have earned it, and it's possible nothing could be further from the truth

By waiting for Mason's performances to drop, being given a shot in the team and then performing well. Until then, train hard, wait for your chance. We'll only be playing a game a week all season so tiredness shouldn't become an issue with Mason, or indeed any of our players.

In my opinion, if you take age out of it, Holgate should 100% start...

On the other hand it can be unwise to overplay young players having just broke through and may benefit Holgate to keep him out the limelight whilst confidence is high until the Norwich game..

Depends on Koemans philosophy of bringing through young players I guess!
