To follow up on this I personally think he'll have them playing super defensively tonight, could be tricky to break down.

Think you're right about how he'll set up, but all it takes is one goal in the first 20 to ruin his whole game plan, and we very rarely held out for 90 minutes when he was our boss against better teams; there will always be a good chance or two. Hope we nick that early goal and smash them. I trust Williams to man mark Defoe out the game, without him they've got nothing really.

Very confident folk on this thread.

It's all bravado, most of us know deep down it'll be a tight, scrappy game with the man who should've been ours Kone scoring a worldie in the 89th minute, revealing a vest underneath his shirt which says "Sniff it Everton I'm a Mackem". That'd be far more Everton than us turning up and winning comfortably.

I'm not even going to try to predict anything. As I said in an earlier post, it'll be the closest we've come in a long time to getting a nearly full strength team out* which means it'll be ok on paper, but needing a bit of time to gel. For anyone who gives a sh*t, my best guess is

Pickford

Manquillo Kone Djilibodji Van Aanholt

Kirchoff Rodwell

Watmore Januzaj Khazri

Defoe

That assumes that N'Dong isn't going straight into the side.

Still, Borini, Cattermole, Mannone and Larsson out.

Lukaku to get off the mark with a double after scoring a brace for the Red Devils (albeit with two tap-in headers). It could though take a set-piece to open the scoring with Moyes planting 10 men on the goal line.

Isn't he your record signing? Be surprised if he doesn't slot straight in. Decent team that, and shouldn't be getting relegated by any stretch.
