I emailed sky and BT once to ask where our "Football's Greatest" documentary was on Neville Southall and "Football's Greatest Teams" series for the '80s team that cleaned up (they even had that poxy Villa side of '82).

Feeling bitter mate. As I said we won the league then went on to become European champions. Never built on it, which is a shame, but never mind.

Villa have a fine history. However, to suggest that their EC winning team were anything but bang average is nonsense.

Villa are a nothing club now. They cant be compared to Everton. We as a club have been out of the top flight only less time than Arsenal (and Arsenal have less seasons in the top flight than us). We are a club with history but are still a blue chip club, while Villa just have their history.

Why on earth would I exhibit any bitterness toward Villa?

Not watched any of the series yet. Heard a lot about it though. There does seem a lot of talk of how much Sunderland fans love their team. Isn’t it the same with other fans and their clubs?
