Summer Transfer Window - Credible Rumours Only Please

The doom and gloom from last season is lifting now and starting to feel positive and thinking we can be good again this season ! Not sure if it anything concrete or just usual pre season boredom and lack of football that is making feel this way ... Maybe this is our year !!!!!
getting Cleverly and hopefully Garbutt signed up and Deulofeu in early will do that.

with plenty of reliable posts about a CB and even still Lennon and a No10 this is looking like for the first time Everton are getting their business done correctly.

Shame Kev will go but I think most people have accepted that by now and frankly I think Lennon will be better for the team's shape since he allows Coleman to attack more.

Totally disagree that replacing Mirallas with Lennon is a good thing in any shape or form.

I know what you mean, but I can see both sides of the argument. Martinez seemingly doesn't like playing with two proper wingers, he'd rather play with one winger on one side and a player who can come inside and create on the other.

Given we've signed Deulofeu, it would usually be a choice of either him or Mirallas. Mirallas may currently be the better of the two, but his big wages, general moaning to the press and contract situation mean that this summer is probably the best time to sell him. Lennon is a little bit more reliable as far his contribution is concerned, but I'd agree he offers less in an attacking sense than Mirallas. Having said that, if it transpires that we sell Mirallas and bring in Lennon, we're looking at a situation where we have signed two good wingers and sold one.

Lennon + Deulofeu > Mirallas. Or at least that's how I see it

Mirallas is more of a goal threat than probably both of them put together and up there with Lukaku (and arguably Naismith) as one of the best finishers at the club. I think we'll miss him but I'd say his time here has reached a natural conclusion and we might be stronger as a group if we let him go now.

i wouldn't sell mirallas either. i don't think we'd ever recoup his true value.

not arsed about the "inconsistency" branded about. if he wasn't then he wouldn't be here, simple as that - he'd be at hazard's level, playing for a hazard level club costing a hazard level fee.

keep him for one more year we could have a great season if we do good transfer business and that may make him want to stay.

Mirallas isn't going anywhere unless someone stumps up about 12-15m imo. Don't think we are in a position where we need to sell on the cheap so someone is going to have to pay around that figure.

I want assurances from Kev. I want him to kiss the padge or something...ffs.

I dont want him to jog on with us if his heart isnt innit.

Would be ready to let him go for +10m

I reckon Mirallas will stay. Just got a feeling in me waters.

Once Deulofeu is signed all we need is a back-up center half to fill Distin/Alcaraz's shoes and we're already stronger than last year. A back-up striker and a proper number 10 and we're sucking diesel.

I understand that and perhaps I'm just trying to logic away the pain of Kev leaving but I don't think his heart is in it anymore and with his contract situation it probably is best if we sell this window.

I also think that playing Deulofeu, Barkley and Mirallas makes us too weak defensively. Too many luxury players in one team.

Please lets not mention Mirallas in the same sentence as Hazard at any stage, we just sound like kopites.

He's a good player Kev, but scoring a wonder goal / free kicks every 10 or 15 games has elevated his reputation beyond all sanity on here lately.

Hazard and Mirallas, we're talking different levels completely and I really rate Mirallas.

He did say IF he did it consistantly. On that basis the post sounded perfectly fair to me.

Deulofeu would be lucky to get over 6 or 7 goals a season. A half bothered Kev will get you 10. We cannot let him go on the cheap thinking Lennon or Deulofeu will replace his output. We need to get him fit focussed and motivated with some quality players around him. He's one of the few game changers we have.

Not a rumour just noticed Michu is back at Swansea with only a yr left on his contract don't think he would cost that much and a good back up for Rom or number 10.
