This mysterious foreign number 10 seems to be Roberto's major target this summer so if he thought Payet was ~*the one*~ then I'm sure he'd have matched £14m. Quietly confident that whoever we get will end up being the better buy.

It is a big deal like, but we need ready made players too who are quality now and in their prime. We already have 4-5 players with big sell on potential, maybe more that we don't know about.

Yeah that's a good point. Think I'd prefer someone a few years younger though if there's someone like that available.

No offence but it seems pretty silly really. A little confusing, and very speculative as to what should be counted as a firmish rumour or a rubbish one.

People are gonna be scared to post in case they feel the wrath of power tripping thread police....

There's been lots of discussion about this already. Reliable sources usually means there's a decent amount of respected(ish) sites reporting it. Not too hard really.

Anyway, shame if Payet is going to West Ham. A very good player and i think he'd have suited us well, but I do believe RM has an ideal target in mind and will get him in.

It's pretty clear, to be fair mate. One thread's for genuine transfer rumours/links, the other thread's for freeform speculation.

The doom and gloom from last season is lifting now and starting to feel positive and thinking we can be good again this season ! Not sure if it anything concrete or just usual pre season boredom and lack of football that is making feel this way ... Maybe this is our year !!!!!
