Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Holgate gave an interview in Birmingham Mail yesterday saying he looking forward to playing in the Prem again and that 10 years playing there with Everton showed he was a hard worker, got to admire the lad's self belief.

to be fair, there are hundreds of thousands of kids who go through that academy system and only a handful make it. even though he's not a top level player anymore (only 5 years ago we were talking about him as a future captain, he was a good player). so it's no surprise the level of belief and confidence they will have to have made it that far

I'll just say this.

As an Everton fan since Gravesen joined from HSV (haven't been too many good stints), this is the most Everton i've ever seen a player act. If there's the slightest chance to get Richy back, I'd have him here in a heartbeat. Love the man.

No..

Serious question , can anyone think of a club that has resigned more ex employees than we have

Unsworth
Dunc
Rooney
Jeffers
Stubbs
Gana
Penear

Moyes
Kendall
Kendall again
Kendall one more time

The most obvious frees are Fabianski and Coufal, Moyes loves a lad he’s worked with before. Don’t actually mind Fabianski as the backup for a year but reading everywhere that Coufal’s legs have gone. Robin Olsen part 2 and Walker-Peters would be better.

Always rated Dawson and Mee as solid prem defenders over the years. Wouldn’t have either of them at 35/36 now though.

A View From The Bullens.

Even I was shocked (and I never trust the club to make the right decisions) at them basically all being offered new deals.

The idea of finally being out of some of our more egregious contracts, only for Moyes to push many of them to resign is giving me nausea.
To be fair it sounds as though virtually every player bar DCL and Gana has been offered vastly reduced terms to reflect their actual value. I seriously doubt either Keane or Doucoure will stay.

Honestly I don’t think any of the above 4 will be here next season for various reasons.
