Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

The most obvious frees are Fabianski and Coufal, Moyes loves a lad he’s worked with before. Don’t actually mind Fabianski as the backup for a year but reading everywhere that Coufal’s legs have gone. Robin Olsen part 2 and Walker-Peters would be better.

Always rated Dawson and Mee as solid prem defenders over the years. Wouldn’t have either of them at 35/36 now though.
Olsen is pretty much confirmed back to Malmo.

He ain’t a patch on Philogene’s agent who rocked up at Barcelona last season, and they didn’t have a jar of glue who he was. He then put all pictures of himself up on Instagram, strutting around Finch Farm pretending to talk on his phone, yet his phone was off. Got his dough when he pushed him towards Ipswich, with an extra few £££, so job done I suppose, but he’s a mongrel nonetheless. Not quite Odemwingie levels
How did that left phalange get on? Hoping stays in the championship where he belongs.

You do realise it was tongue in cheek? It’s one thing wanting to stay at a club and another agreeing terms that suit your needs on the pitch and satisfying financial terms. I’m not sure Moyes could have been any clearer or complimentary towards Young. Young wants to play and with our ‘plan’ for the summer (all being well) means it would be limited for him on top of different terms. Young doesn’t want to retire either. Fair play to him.
No I didn't? From what I read it said you're wrong on this one? Not having a go, Im pointing out what he said in response to Young, Keane, DCL being offered a new contract

I would like to see what out of contract players are staying by the end of the week.

I think Gueye and DCL will stay but Keane could play more for a lesser club.

Doucoure isn't budging on money and I think at 32 it's not right.

On Coleman will have to see what this latest injury is because we have to stop being sentimental and be realistic, I know we want him to stay on but in the last 2 years, he has been nowhere near the level. Moyes might want him but I think with Goodison going and some easy Ireland internationals, I think he should leave the game before the game leaves him.
Coleman should be no where near the playing squad except for motivational speeches.

How many games this year did he manage? Played 17 mins on weekend and off injured.

If we have an ounce of ambition we aren’t trying for Europe with 38/39 year old fullbacks - absolutely ludicrous

I’d let DCL, Keane, Coleman and Doucoure walk at the end of the season. Add to Begovic, Young etc and it’s a lot of wages saved.

Looking to pick up free transfers I think Kyle Walker-Peters is an obvious player to target. Boscagli from PSV is a good centre back but probably too small to play in PL in back 4.

Egan-Riley would be a good pick up but looks like he’s going to Strasbourg.

Pasalic of Atalanta is one to keep an eye on also. Javi Puado is a good age and consistently shown himself to be a goal scoring winger. His contract is up this summer. Think a few PL teams will look at him.

1 or 2 ‘free’ transfers might be useful

Don't think so, Young told the Bobble he was wrong on twitter

and DCL would've started against Southampton if he was considered the number 1. Beto is more of a goal threat, and to me, he's improving some other parts of his game, his attitude is also considerably better
Not sure on either of the first two things you've said mate. Agree though that Beto is a much better bet than DCL. A striker that is actually capable of scoring goals is so much more important than any other aspect of their game.
