So, we still see DCL as our No 1 striker and are desperate for him to sign a new deal, offered a deal to Young, but he turned it down, have offered a deal to Doucoure on reduced terms and are considering offering a deal to Keane to be 4th choice CB. God, that was a grim listen on a certain podcast

Don't think so, Young told the Bobble he was wrong on twitter

and DCL would've started against Southampton if he was considered the number 1. Beto is more of a goal threat, and to me, he's improving some other parts of his game, his attitude is also considerably better

What happened to Lamptey? See his contract is expiring...... was always well thought of a year or so ago.

Is it worth us going in for him as RB?

A decent team could be had out of that but there's a reason most of them have been allowed to run down their contracts.

I'd keep Gana, maybe Doucoure and DCL if the money was right and it didn't stop getting in new players, but the others have no place in our team due to age or not being good enough.

I have seen it reported in a few places that we are hoping DCL will sign a contract and are trying to sell Beto to Turkish teams for between £14m and £16m. I really dont get this at all. If we were linked to a striker that had scored 8 goals in the premier league, it would be £25m to £30m.

I am a bit torn on resigning DCL as well, he has quality, but he just is not fit often enough, hes on £100k a week now, there were rumours that he wanted £140k a week last summer to sign a new deal. I guess since he has underperformed and been injured this season no one is prepared to pay him that kind of money, so now he is interested in doing a deal?

What a load of rubbish if true. I’d bin DCL and not offer him anything. And keep Beto the lads scoring goals in the premier league end of.

Josh Brownhill on a free - general thoughts?

Immediate reaction is underwhelmed. 29 years old, brings back memories of Dyche etc.

However, I didn't realise he scored 18 goals this season and was rated as the best attacking mid in the Championship. Put those stats against someone with a more exotic profile and we'd be asking Moyes to pay 20m+

I'd be very tempted on a free. Knows the league, already lives in the area, and also immediately reduces a fellow PL team of their chief goal threat for nothing next season. Let Doucoure go and bring in Brownhill (which is an immediate improvement as Doucoure is sheeiitte, and then concentrate the main budget on two/three areas that need the most attention e.g. Full back, right wing and striker

It's interesting that a lot of the frees seem to be about age - I guess difficult to get a transfer fee for.

Can see Fraser Forster being 1st through the door this summer. Scott Carson will get a new deal at City, and start against Bromley in the Carabao cup at 71 yrs of age

Based on what i was told today from source, i'm saying the shock of the summer is that mug Robertson from the red s*ite is playing in Blue next season.

I like him but a lot of injuries and I feel he'd be too small for moyes

think Walker Peters would be great. That bit better defensively and more of a solid type of player. Think he'l be in demand though

Yeah worth it. Fitness obviously the issue but he would transform our attacking play down the right

Holgate gave an interview in Birmingham Mail yesterday saying he looking forward to playing in the Prem again and that 10 years playing there with Everton showed he was a hard worker, got to admire the lad's self belief.
