His best performance were from Leicester yet no call-up and he is about to turn 27. I remembered ppl were moaning when this club signed the Iceland player and Bolasie at 27 for big sum - no re-sale value etc. I’m sure if we buy this guy he has no re-sale value too.

It's just a silly argument though. He wasn't bought to be a starter for Chelsea. He was bought because he was the best player for the manager that moved to Chelsea so he knew he could trust him as a backup player. The England argument is also completely irrelevant. Branthwaite doesn't get called up or game time for England despite us all thinking he should. Jordan Henderson still gets game time for England. Who gets called up for international football is dumb because it's as much dependent on politics as it is ability.

KDH is better than Garner but not by a vast distance. He can do a bit of everything but like Garner there are times he seems to disappear. Overall he is a solid PL player who adds a bit more goal threat which is something we need. He improves the squad if we sign him but if he is one of our big two or three biggest £ signings there would be no disguising that it had been a poor window. We’d still need to add someone like Florentino Luis to be the Gana back-up.

I did have this thought the other day but we just have no numbers in the middle... stegthen the middle of the park and I`d make Garner 1st choice RB as it stands.It's a shame because Garner looked to have something about him but he's definitely regressed.
He's always looked decent as a RB , I wonderf we could convert him to play there permanently?

I also think this is how we will start irrespective of incomings now.
The failure to get someone to play right midfield/forward is massive. Genuinely think this is the sole reason why most of our fanbase is unhappy with the transfer dealings.
