Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Apparently we are going to have a busy August. I think busy being linked to every player under the sun and used as a bargaining chip by agents to extract max cash out of some other more attractive clubs.
Likely by the first game against Leeds we will have a few more additions that will feel underwhelming with the wiff of desperation that the club have put out there.
May aswell prepare for the usual dissapointment and excuses come season start.

Your second sentence is normal mate,
….pick on the weak. I wouldn’t expect them to be doing anything else.

This is why the market is difficult. People are willing to give Broja a long term deal. Shouldn't even be getting a fee for him as he's done barely anything for two seasons aside from be injured. They'll likely get something stupid for him aka 20-30m.
If they get anywhere near that I’d have it written into the contract that Chelsea give a million back for every game he misses through injury for the first year or two. Chelsea would end up owing them money most likely.

Yes, normal. Like buying houses, use those that can't afford it to extract maximum cash out of those that can. Its the way the world works and I've accepted it.
Until we become one of the ones that can afford it (we are moving the right direction financially) we need moyes to get us performing on the pitch with pretty much what we have.

….that is a matter of opinion, I’ve also never been impressed. Another ordinary, vastly overrated player Chelsea paid over the odds for.

I'd swerve pretty much everyone at Chelsea - one exception being Chucky as he's only 21, got huge potential and likely wouldn't cost that much - but Chelsea loans or buying late 20s from them, nah

I suspect its mostly performance based add ons. There surely cant be much of an upfront fee.

August will see a huge amount of activity - the longer it goes now the more you will see selling clubs fend ds start to lower a bit and players demands dropping.

Genuinely feel like all the 5-17th type teams has e by and large held off making transfer up to now due to increased demands, only the big fish and the promoted minnows have been doing lots of business so far.
Think most of those teams are almost done in their business now.

A huge amount of players are available with very little movement so far - interesting to see when it all starts cascading deal wise. Just top of my head and looking at younger English/British based players we have these all gonna be moving.

Hutchison, Elliot, Doaks, Murphy, Mcatee, Dibling. Hackney, Fellows, Chukwuemenka.

That's not even looking much in depth but just very obvious players who will 100% move during the remaining window.

Chelsea and City have bloated squads and will need to shift a fair few players on, the rs after finishing buying will likely clear out all there academy lads who came through to balance PSR out, United are trying to offload a lot - were they end up will likely free other players at those clubs up too.

It's partly why I'm still relatively calm on the matter, there's a reason why that list above has remained without moves but all will go, when the asking prices begin to drop

Yeah, because they have two other midfielders that cost 120m each in Caicedo and Enzo. I don't really rate Enzo that highly but Caicedo is the best DM in the league.

He's also - taking about KDH just not that good - overpriced, overpaid and if you ask what he does well I'd be struggling to answer because I think he's bang average

It's Saturday morning and this is your mindset? Have a bag of Quavers and hug someone.
