I wish we'd bought Carrol

I really do

He was just what the doctor ordered

Probably will net 15 league goals for West Ham this season if he stays fit

We could have used those goals ourselves

Would you be happy if Everton spent 15m on him?

Then paid the lanky tw@t as much, if not more than any other player at the club, surely not.

It remains to be seen how many goals he gets, 7 from 24 is no great feat from last season, i'm surprised the sh!te have gotten so much back on their 35m shocker.

I would have rather have had Strac last season than Jelavic, but i think there is a chance Jela will come good again this season. Hopefully.

Strac wasn't that bad of a footballer, certainly for how we played, he did a good job, but when it came to finishing (although he was a very good finisher in argentina) he just couldn't seem to get the power or placement behind his shots.

Strength wise, i think he was probably the strongest striker i've ever seen play at everton. No one could push him off the ball, he brought the ball down excellently, won every header and laid it off to our team. At the time that's what we needed and he did it well, i'd still have him here to do that job today. He was also the hardest working player i've ever seen at everton too, the lad just got it and wanted to make the most of his chance. He was never and is never going to be the best footballer in the world, but i think it's unfair to say he was terrible. The attributes he has are limited but effective, but it's his attitude what makes him a good player for a team to have.

I remember how embarrassing bad he looked against Cahill when he was at Bolton, then he got fitter, stronger and yeah, it was amazing to see. Unfortunately, he has not done too well back in Argentina.

Stracqualursi is a better footballer than the Jelavic of last season.

Have you all been sharing a bit of wacky without me?
We all love a trier and when Denis burst out crying when he scored against Fulham I was close to an emotional sniff myself, but holy macaroni, they guy is and was an awful footballer not good enough for the championship and or even the level below that.

Although Jelavic had a shocker in front of goal last season, he didn't go hiding, there were games when he played well without scoring although as the season progressed he started to look like an ex-footballer

He was s***e.

No way we could afford Carroll's wages. Did anyone ever see him out in Liverpool? I saw him and Kev Nolan on Alerton road once, proper pair of drinkers them.

It's being reported in the meeeeedja today that Carroll's signed for £100,000 a week. West Ham have coughed up £15m to buy him, AND he's somehow conned Liverpool into giving him a £1m payoff. That's insane for someone who is essentially a heavy-drinking Peter Crouch. Nothing would make me happier than seeing Duffy or Distin render him irrelevant when we play them.

I have faith that RM can get Jelavic and Mirallas working well together. I can feel it in my bones.
