He's very Jelavic.

Good link up and a decent first-time finish but at the moment he has no confidence at all. Yesterday was the first time he's had real chances and missed them, though. In all the other games he's been restricted to half-chances that would have been great goals had they come off.

He's trying too hard at the minute and that's resulting in things like shooting from 20 yards when there's better options on.

He needs dropping for Arsenal. I'd happily have DCL up top for that game anyway. Pace, and get them stretched a bit, with Richarlison and Walcott plugging the gaps. We then have Bernard to bring on.

Agree with everything except that Jelavic comparison

Jelavic had nothing going for him other than that instinctive finishing - his all round game was really poor. Particularly when he pulled into wide areas. Didn't link play well and wasn't much use at holding the ball up. We had an advanced Fellaini close to him to do that side of things for him.

Tosun can finish (although if you'd only watched him yesterday, you could be forgiven for doubting that), but his all round game is solid. Does a bit of everything.

Got to be Richarlison for me and put Bernard on the left. We simply cannot afford to continue waiting around for Tosun to start scoring (i.e do his effing job) and DCL and Niasse just aren't good enough to be our main goal scoring threat.

I can't think of a striker that we could get or is good enough.

Is that Batshuyai getting game time at chelsea?

EDIT: Just seen he's at Valencia on loan.

Must be a reason we didn't go in for him.

Tosun missed a golden chance last night, and later put himself into a knot when he had his back to goal. Niasse also missed a golden chance.

If we're really ready to move past Tosun as the starting striker, I think Walcott is the one who should be moved upfront.

Tosan missed 3 chances you would expect any decent striker would score at least 2 of. Offered no movement and could hold the ball up which lead to the first goal. Very poor IMO.

Blatantly obvious we lack goals in our squad....
We need a quality striker so bad it stands out a mile....
Cenk is not good enough & DCL is still learning the game....
We have never replaced Lukaku....

We need Richarlison to stop "headbutting" people.

He can play down the middle if need be but even if he plays where he has been playing then the striker problem becomes less pressing.

A boss striker is not always the answer, we had a boss striker, we were still rubbish. It's everything that goes on around them.

Rico
Bernard Siggy Theo

No question that should be against arsenal.
I think against Arsenal we'd be better going with DCL up top with Richarlison & Walcott either side and Sigurdsson behind. Do agree with you though that we need to get Bernard on the left and Richarlison up front at some point, just maybe not next weekend.

I voted Richarlson but having read some of the comments id like to change my vote to walcott I wasn't thinking as he is the obvious choice. It's his favourite position and even when he's out of position he scores goals 19 in his last full season at arsenal while not playing every game and on the wing, we all say we need a 20 a season man well maybe we have one.
