Stop Trying to be Edgy

The problem is, with the money invested we should see a very different team! The incompetence in the Everton management ( yes i mean Brands and the guys before him) is mind boggling. There isnt any style of play. Everything is put together by chance. So on a good and lucky day it works but mostly and over a whole season it doesnt.
Those previous managers are no longer at the club though. Carlo is. And he is fantastic. It's quite embarressing that you are using the terms "lucky" and "by chance" when talking about him.

These dropped points to teams we could and should beat might come to bite us on the arse when it comes to the final positions. What could have been 4th/5th could be 8th/9th and no European football will stunt what is possible next year and so on.

This is a golden chance to put ourselves in amongst it with other teams dropping points and in a state of flux. There is no excuses when we had more rest to beat a poor side yet we played worse, you don't mind losing to a side playing put of their skins - but they didn't need to be to beat us. The heart and desire should be there to want to go second and clear for all to see.

Football is not played on paper so there are no teams we should beat, but other than that I agree with you. I’ll be absolutely made up if we can stay in and around where we are in the table right up until the last day of the season so it’s all to play for, but with our lack of quality outside of 12/13 players I don’t think we’re good enough to do it. Not yet at least

Don’t want to suffer the journey? Yeah ok mate, years of absolute dross mean the first sign of any improvement is seen as some managerial masterclass from Ancelotti, the fact is Arsenal, Chelsea and even Man City are in transition that’s why we have been higher up the league, the football has been largely dross, when it has been more expansive we look defensively inept. Hardly the sign of a world class manager or a team on the cusp. Everton are rubbish, have been for years and I haven’t seen anything to offer any hope.........oh wait Khedira

Bugger off then.

Of course and that is what I was kind of saying. Although in most cases you can play the game on paper...this team has a superior team/bench, has home advantage, played only a couple of days ago and so on. You should be able in a lot of cases predict an outcome based on that. It's how bookmakers make money after all.

However, if wham had turned up played like 1970's Brazil and beaten us 4-0 then you doff the cap and say there isn't much we could have done. In this case they turned up like a Moyes team and in the first half did nothing to note while we ourselves also didn't do much until about the 40th minute where we seemed to get a squirt on. We showed them very little which made them not work too hard as we kept passing sideways and backwards. By doing that we nullified the fact that they were playing their x game in so many days. We were the architects of our own downfall hence the could and should comment.

You're generally going to have an issue when this sums up your plan of attack and your midfield has cataracts.

...it started off ok with Doucoure trying to make runs with and without the ball but it just reverted to type when that broke down a few times.

Yes, there hasn’t been a change in performance because after being hit by injuries to his team he tried to keep the attacking threat and went 3-4-3; it backfired massively. So he restructured and made sure the defensive unit is solid. Which it has been.

The problem is that it will have a negative impact going forward because we’ve been playing with CB’s in the fullback position.

He tried to add the extra width with Coleman yesterday, but like the rest of the team he was off and over thought everything. The simplest passes, he took that long it allowed West Ham to reset.

It was an awful performance, from everyone. Nobody is denying that, but the overreacting and crying is bordering on tedious.

We won 4 on the bounce prior to last night, it’s irrelevant on how the performances were because the points are on the board. And at the end of the day, that’s all that matter

Of course its relevant because you cant always keep winning like that, you will only get away with it for so long.

I think I have posted here long enough for you to know that I am not one of the moaners more often than not. I'm not even moaning now to be honest it just gets frustrating that we seem to lose games from just not turning up every so often and its been going on for decades, that's probably where peoples frustrations come from.

I know the problems, I know the issues and I know we will not win every game but it doesn't make it any less frustrating/annoying.

Instead of sneering at the sentiment of this thread, like certain posters always do, why don’t you tag me and stop being a PÚSSY BISH.

Yeah?
They arent being edgy.

They are just really deeply unhappy people who want everybody else to be unhappy and do not understand that some people don't want to live their life in an unhappy bubble.

One loss and all the closet kopites and football geniuses are out in force saying we’re a shambles and we’ll never get top 4, and anyone who believed we could do it is deluded and below them in the football knowledge stakes. It’s so painfully predictable and it happens every time there’s a blip.

Twitter is full of them, people trying to say the most depressing things possible to seem the superior bloo.

Bore off and go and support Tranmere.
I'd rather see people being OTT than acuse people of being kopites when they have a different opinion
