Really, no Landon fans ha well i guess it would be a boring forum if we all agreed.

Brian McBride was terriffic for us was gutted we couldnt afford to keep him, everything in its own time mind, we were a long way of back then being able to afford 28 mill on a forward.
Tbh i did love a bit of landon

Get a grip mate. That's up there with Davek. What next McBride better than Dunc?
Obv not for us, as McBride only played a few times.
I reckon most neutrals, though, would consider those two players to be of similar quality. McBride prob better as he had a decent international career.

Dunc's one of my fav ever players, btw, as he was a light in the darkness of 90s everton. But take a step back and you can't really say his career was anything special.

Donovan playing up front with Lukaku would be cool, what a player. I better mention Pienaar so as to stay on topic. I would have loved to have seen 3 central creative players together like Arteta, Pienaar and say Banega in the Moyes good years but Pienaar was always used on the left.

So now, as one of our least influential players he should be earning less than Galloway right?
Obviously not, his current deal was signed at a time when he was still one of our best so it wouldve reflected that. If he were to renew now no doubt he'd have to take a huge paycut to reflect his current role. But most likely hes off

You have to say that he has been a good player for us but the time comes when players should be shifted. If he had been brought on as sub 10 to 15 times you could see the worth in offering another year but the team has (admittedly not very well) coped without him. His squad place should be taken by one of our young lads with a "thanks for all your efforts Steve and good luck in your future" card put in his locker. I also don't forget how easily he dropped us for the bright lights of London which reminds me of just how cutthroat this business is, no sentiment should come into any contract discussions if you don't add to the squad then bye bye.

Pienaar and Baines was the best left sided combination in European football for a while.
It,s a shame that another great club player has left disgruntled under this current regime.
