He is another who will be on his way in the summer, it is sad but unfortunately that is the way of football, I for one would like to see him getting a few games on the run in. Let's be honest, he couldn't be worse than what we saw yesterday.
If he got a few appearances someone would be willing to take him and let him play out his career.

Looked as though he was back in the fold, but been bombed out, wouldn't be surprised if there was a bust up.

I think the Distin situation last year had the alarm bells ringing for me. This is not a happy camp.

Tbf it isn't an uncommon situation, an older player who has been at a club not getting the game time he believes he should be.

Rarely see it handled well as very difficult situation even if the manager was instrumental in the players earlier career, Mourinho/Terry for instance. Spalletti and Totti used to have a great relationship but it is currentky strained because they have different ideas on how much he should play.

Although I like our older players been shown respect, at the end of the day have to agree with Spalletti “My objective is to get results,” he said, “and I make my team selections on that basis, not because of a footballer’s history.”

Pienaar is what we are crying out for on the left side, is a shame he is not given a chance to prove himself. Yes he is not as good as he once was, but there is still a player in there especially together with baines.

Gonna miss him loads when he leaves, I do really hope we can find someone with a similiar playstyle to him.

Well I did mention on another thread, that he had a run in with Martinez,so I would be very surprised if he is seen at GP during the rest of the Season.

How many players is that now who have been frozen out.....sooner or later it boomerangs back on a manager.

Was also told that Leighton had a word with Martinez, at the warm weather training stint, but we are a bit short on that left side ,or he would most probably have been another one frozen out.
