Current Affairs Stabbing incident in Southport

The Home Office are currently conducting a review into this, as security analysts suspect Russia and possibly China are behind the online disinformation. They've been doing the same sorts of things in the US for years, here and Europe too. It'll be no surprise if it's found to be part of a wider campaign.

The whole ecosystem that feeds this - Twitter, GB News, Reform, the assembly of grifters like Fox, SYL, Brand etc, Tufton Street “think-tanks”, the vermin press, the dark money funding it all (most of which comes from the US) - needs to be challenged and where possible dismantled. Call for a riot on social media and you should get banged up, as should the social media firm for facilitating it.

Sorry I have to laugh despite this absolute tragedy of an event, and thread, because it's just a classic example of misinformation and people not waiting to see what actually happened.

Iv never really thought about all that misinformation and where it comes from until this, but in the space of about a hr yday I got a forwarded whattapp one saying it was because he couldn’t see his kid the other saying his dad is some Rwandan warlord on the run in Britain !! Love to know who starts all these rumours

I don't think it's fair to blame Danny at all. That's certainly not what I'm doing. He's as genuine as they come and a good fella. There's a few others in here who went full on into it, but this isn't the place to point score at all, I just wish people would take a moment to get the facts. Forums do live and breathe in the moment, so there's no need to be pointing direct fingers.

Personally, if I had such a dim view of someone who ran a forum - I certainly wouldn't bother my arse to use it
