Well alright. We will never make it above 7th and will struggle massively to keep hold of Rom. Awful effort by the whole team, wrong tactics, no room to play. Adjustments from the manager were decent, but too late. Defence was shocking. Bad concentration wrecked us.

the team in 6th struggled a home draw against 10 men of a team we hit for 6 a few weeks ago. One bad game, but that doesn't mean we're destined to finish 7th. We'd have been expecting to lose more than 1 point in ground from united, rs and arsenal.

Fair play to Spurs, but in the name of all that's holy all of their goals were poor from the defensive/goalkeeping point of view.
Kane should not have got a shot away, but Barry ran away from him and Robles should have stopped it, second goal I have no idea why Schneiderlin showed for the ball and less idea why Robles rolled it out to him. Alli - if you don't pick him up, you get what you deserve.
Thought we may have got a point going into this, but they do look good.
Yup spurs outplayed us but how easily and the way we concede the 3 are grating

3 of that back 4 seriously need binning off in the summer! Mori is garbage, Williams is terrible and Baines is past it! The defence with Joel were pathetic today and Barry well he shouldn't have been starting!

They are 2nd in the league and possibly the best team in the league, Even Chelsea lost there.

Barry was a bad choice and I think Koeman knows that now. An I doubt we will see him in the big games again.

Williams and Mori need replacing in the summer, also need a left back.

I really believe we'd have won that if we played our usual team. We needed two forwards running the channels to render their high press useless. Two of their centre backs passed late fitness tests ffs. We should have been putting them under relentless pressure.

Schniderlinn, Gana and Davies should have been trusted to do their thing in the middle.

Koeman had an absolute shocker today. More surprising considering he's usually so pragmatic and proactive.

If we had of lost in competitive fashion I wouldn't care but that was gutless from Koeman. He completely bottled it.
I would agree. He seemed to have the players scared today. Hope he learns and let's teams worry about us from now on.

let's not go overboard here and make ourselves ridiculous, we were playing against a team with 3 or 4 world class players. They've barely conceded a goal all season, so scoring 2 there is it at least some sort of positive. We just haven't got the players yet, we've set up foundations, but most of us agreed we needed another keeper, another centre back and then 3 or 4 more attacking players. That was the difference, you look at spurs and who are they going to buy? Just backup players probably, doubt they'd buy anyone else for the first team.
Koeman needs to realize that this isn't Manchester City. They are not frail defensively, so playing for the counter attack with Barry will probably not work. They play a high line, so as long as Lukaku has support you can cause problems.

Too little too late. Koeman needs to understand that if you suddenly change a shape as seen against Chelsea and Spurs, the players cannot just simply adapt like that. Spurs could have had a lot more today tbh. Barkley MOTM for me. In such a defensive team, he done quite a bit.

Good points, what we could do with is a good away win against a top six side which we have rarely done in years, then our team would be more confident. I just hope we get that big away win before the end of the season.

The difference is Ross took it upon himself to try and impact the game. The rest meekly accepted defeat because they knew 'oh well it's Spurs, we're Everton, won't be so bad to lose'. First time I've seen Ross turn up so hopefully more follow his lead, can't just have one player doing it though.

When you consider the line up and how much the onus was on Ross for anything creative, I thought he was absolutely tremendous today, becoming a complete midfielder, if he wasn't an everton player he is one of those players i would still make an effort to watch, get the contract sorted because the fact he plays for us is a great feeling

Agree. Thought Barkley was great today considering the way the game panned out.
