Are you serious? Besic was absolutely fine today. Barry, his partner in the center, not so much.

That's your opinion, you're welcome to it, I just happen to think it's 100% wrong, but that's my opinion.

Nearly gave a goal away to Soldado, lost his head a few times and gave possession away constantly and failed to mark properly.

It's one defeat at a ground we never win at. A game we controlled possession and narrowly lost.

The wrong team selection today, Ross needs to play in the middle with both McGeady and Mirallas either side with a new winger bought in January but if we do that there's still a lot of points to play for and top 4 is still possible.

In otherwords it's not the end of the works but Martinez has to stop [Poor language removed] about with the team and be a bit more stroud and play on the counter when necessary.

The squad doesn't feel balanced does it? Playing up-the-middle players out wide is ok against the weaker sides. But aside from Mirallas, none of the wide options seem up to snuff against stronger teams.

Baines and Barry didn't seem back to 100% today. Distin looked jaded. Everton don't have great depth and it's showing.

Really hoping for a good right winger in January but not expecting anything.

Disappointing result, thought Spurs played well in patches particularly the latter period of the first half.

Great goal by Mirellas, thought Besic was our best player today.

Even with the number of changes between games the Thursday/Sunday routine is definitely a factor. It's a learning game though and we'll get there.

Disappointed but not discouraged, first defeat in nine, time to start another run.

Tremendous support today btw

He isn't the manager he was last season but it is way too way to start with the petty name calling of people who understand what 2nd season syndrome is, we have European football to deal with which is Martinez 's first.

I am certainly giving the manager until the end of this season and let us see where he is and where we are. For me that is a level headed approach rather than jump the gun and abuse the manager and call people named for having another opinion other than 'he is [Poor language removed]'
I am saying our football is slow and poor and that is down to the manager.
I have not said to sack him,but watching how he is performing this season i am not happy.
Its been like this since august and he does not seem to know how to change it which again is a worry.
I think we would all agree he is a nice man but so was ghandi

I couldn't care what they spent we've spent £28 million on a striker who doesn't get any service and has been shoved out on the wing at times this season.

We have a class player in barkley been shoved out wide to accomodate other players when we have 3 natural wide players on the bench whilst hampering both our full backs from bombing forward.

Our fanbase are pathetic wake the F up, we are poor and have been all season. Martinez is screwing us big time with his cowardice decisions.

And eto'o, the same eto'o people are wanking themselves silly too is the same one people were laughing at for Chelsea last season when lukaku was slotting for fun whilst him, ba and torres looked lost.

So your saying spending 100's of millions doesn't give you a better chance of winning stuff?

*Contacts City's owners*

He was struggling before we even started of European campaigne. Let's not forget that Spurs had also played Thursday.

I don't know what the Spurs team was on Thursday or how they played but we had a high energy and he thought a few changes were needed.

I will be saying it as it is, he made poor choices today but he has made more good decisions than bad over his time with us and surely that counts for something.

People actually think Besic was decent today?

OK then...
Stats shows the same at whoscored. Got 7,5 points (4th best in the team), 88 touches ( most in the team) with 89,3% accuracy; 3 tackles (2nd best in the team), 2 key passes along with Baines (best in the team which is sad because he's a DM).

Uncomfortable?? I cant remember him giving the ball away. His passing was good and he broke up play well.

You didn't watch the same game as me then, as he did it at least three times, and that's me erring on the side of caution - honestly, it was about five times in key positions.

There were occasions where he'd show quick feet, step away from a marker and pass well, but they were few and far between IMO.
