He has changed it a few times in Europe and the league and is everybody is forgetting last season.

The massive tactical change against Man Utd and the slight change with Lukaku out wide against Arsenal.

Also, I have seen a lot of abuse with Martinez 's subs, again how many times was he praised last season. I am still confident that it will come.
I said that before mate, he looks a shadow of last season. He made bold decision, subs that changed games; He now looks like he is just happy to stick to his favourites. How many people predicted before that he'd bring Mirallas off bang on 60 minutes? It's always the same, for the same subs too e.g Osman. He has lost the spark he had last season imo.

The two goals we conceded were bad mistakes 2nd one looked to be a foul on barry who was so slow today i.e. not fit - Howard for the first one a soft shot which he should have punched behind for a corner - after a classic give the ball thump away by dustbin!

Course it does. Playing games in between days ( which we swill more over Christmas) and travelling on planes effects you.

It doesn't tone for the individual errors but it plays a part.

And when we get knocked out the Europa our form will dip worse

I don't disagree with the more games part will have an effect but playing last Thursday, for me anyway, has nothing to do with today.

It was the team selection. Did Barry and Baines have to come straight back in when they didn't look ready? Garbutt should have played.

I genuinely believe we have a great chance in the Europa league.

Bang on and playing eto'o in midfield what a joke.
I wonder how long it will take for some of the martinez lovers to open their eyes.
The slow slow slow crab football is a joke

It took about 4/5 years for the name calling to start for people who may have said something nice despite not playing well, you are quick off the mark.

I am a proud Martinez 'lover' or as we like to call our selves 'a level headed' fan.

it can go both ways. we don't know the ins and outs. we've had terrible luck with injuries, osman seems the only one who hasn't been getting them.

Massive over reaction on here. An away game 3 days after an away game in Germany. Players weren't at their sharpest but it was still a tight game against a good side. Could easily have been a draw and probably would have been if the ref had seen that handball. We definitely missed McCarthy though.

Wherever you play Barkley, he will still lose the ball in important areas, will still make the wrong decisions very slowly, and will still be brilliant not more than once in every game. He will get a good career as a Prem footballer, but I doubt he will be a world superstar as some are saying. At 16 Rooney was better than Barkley is now, and Rooney at 28 contributes more, scores more, and has a better football brain than Barkley will ever have.

I have read some of the posts and think I will come back tomorrow when everyone has calmed down and realise that Martinez is still a good manager and Barkley is still a good player and that we got beat by the odd goal in a very tight match away from home.

We still got beat. We have city away after hull, there's another defeat but hey things are rosy

Rethink is needed by Bobby.
Barkley out wide doesn't work. He's a talented 10; play him there, you bell...
Play a winger on the left and right wings, if you have 2 fit and available...
Barry was unfit and should not have been playing. Even Osman would have been better there today.
Both their goals came through his position; the first when he made no challenge when Distin gave the ball away.
The second when he lost the ball. Besic did ok to try and cover Barry but he's no McCarthy.
Eto'o is best used coming on against a tiring defence, not as a starter in ACM or on the right...
Howard at fault too for the first, even if it took a deflection. Tip it past the post, not back into play, you bearded clown...

The tactics, selection and subs were garbage today. That's Bobby's fault.

Credit to Spurs. They looked sunk after Mirallas' strike but the soft first gave them heart again.
Onwards and upwards lads.
