I thought the 1st 25 mins before the goal was pretty even. What disappointed me in that period was Iwobi got in some great positions and had digne overlapping on 3 occasions and instead of playing in with a simple pass elected to cut and never even got a shot off to test the keeper.

Poor performance. Very light up top. Not replacing Walcott/Kean in the squad was poor business.

Wlacott or Kean werent pulling up any trees if we are been honest.

We had a week to be ready for the game with no midweek football.

I'm actually not bothered. 8 wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat. No over reaction from me. Plus Southampton are 5th. Meaning only 5 top six clubs are not actually top six clubs. Im enjoying the season so far. Been a mad season.

Important point this. We will either look back at this as a meaningless blip or the point where the bubble burst and everything went wrong.

I feel like it will be the latter but hard to tell if that is my common sense talking or just the unavoidable, pessimistic sense of dread that consumes all Everton fans.
