Absolute bummer.

Sigh. Oh well. I'll get to support three teams next year - Everton, LA and the USMNT. Silver lining.

Just a waste. Hope LA gets the DPs they want to at least make the year interesting.

I still have come to love Everton, so I have to thank Landon for that. :)

Still gutted.

[Poor language removed] it then.

For whatever reason he doesn't want to come here, be it a local tart/the media, the [Poor language removed] weather or whatever.

Move on, and find a player who does want to play for our great club.

I officially HATE the MLS and the L.A. Galaxy..

Oh yea, the DP rule is sad and embarrassing..

"Hey lets make our league top class by buying washed out players"

Spend the money on youth development you backward ****s

- Everton need to put the money on the line if they really want him. It really isn't fair to the player to use him up and wear him down if the club isn't willing to buy him.

Spot on. They've had the best part of a year to make this possible. It was clwar when he was here and just after he left that he'd fallen in love with the whole Everton Experience. At the end of the day , we cannot be angry with Landy for choosing ' the soft option'. He's not a High Class call girl who come at our beck and call.. he wants to be part of the family, full time. Everton, just failed to get their act together in time to make it happen. And now we're all gutted, angry and heart broken. But life as a Blue must go on..no matter how hard it's going be from now on :(

He doesn't have the desire to make it in a top league.

Staying in his comfort zone really, which is disappointing.

I don't think a lack of ambition or staying in a comfort zone has anything to do with it.

Why should he wear himself out going on loan now for the third year in row, even if it is for Everton (whom he clearly loves) for a mere 10 weeks at a time? He put his body on the line - Everton need to put the money on the line if they really want him. It really isn't fair to the player to use him up and wear him down if the club isn't willing to buy him.

It seems he's the one taking all the risk with only a short-term reward.

It's like ya bird (girlfriend) has been coming home for the past 6 months...

but a few days before she's due back you find out she's not coming coz someone (Galaxy) put a block on it.

That's how it feels.

Galaxy are after an unreasonable amount of money really.

Most of us in the states are gutted. Nobody wanted him back at the MLS. I really wanted him with Everton. Part of me is mad Everton never moved to sign him full term. Gah. Nice result yesterday though. Really bummed about this though.

His last three tweets are all Everton Related.....

Wish we had the cash to buy him as a loan is not ok..... Buy me or nothing......

This is like the girl that says either marry me or leave me.... Do we have enough cash to get a ring big enough for her to say yes?

Well he talks about proving himself yet he's done very little at the top level. He has ways of working around his situation and getting loan deals, he said that was part of the deal when he signed a contract, and something he was going to exploit.

I'm not sure he's got the mentality we should be looking for in a player. It's not just about signing for Everton, I wouldn't be bothered either way, but staying in the MLS is a massive waste of time. A big fish in a small pond really.

Spot on (though of course the chances of Everton finding the extra cash are nil)

Well, let's face it, if we were really pinning the hopes of our season on one player, then we really need to take a good look at ourselves as a football club.
