well, LD is currently in NY - he was at the NY Giants v. Philadelphia Eagles football game yesterday.

So could that mean he's there to talk to Garber about the exhorbitant price and lay the law down - "Hey, the Don...lower the price. I want to go Blue."

Or he's still on holiday and partying in NYC, er... resting. (Don't mind me, I'm just jealous that he got to go to that football game and I didn't.)

I THINK , the excessive amount was , as the Yanky Lad said , to ward us off . A preclusive measure , if you will . Seeing how serious we are . THE POINT with Landy is , yes , he had off days , but more good ones , but HIS PACE IS EVERYTHING .
For example , aside from the instant out-ball it gives us , it means , for e.g that he can play Beckford in a PROPER 2 . THAT alone would improve us 15-20% .

He's important . Irrespective of your personal feelings .

THAT is why I've been banging on about it for SO long and SO fukn loud .

As you mentioned LD opens up space down the middle with his pace and ability to dribble at defenders on the wing. If this doesn't happen I'm going to be sorely disappointed. We really do need him.

If the holdup is really, honestly money, then I hope that will come to light at some point. If I didn't know about this forum and were going purely on what LD and Moyes are saying publicly, I would think that Landon was waffling, keeping everyone waiting, while he flies here, there and everywhere to party.

I suppose I am just antsy and ready for the will-he-or-won't-he to be over and done with, one way or the other.
