I sure hope it was a negotiating tactic and not real to price the team out! And I sure hope the perm price is not exorbitant. No word of LD complaining though - so that makes me think it wasn't an actual number. I sure hope not - cause if word of that leaked, not pretty. And I'm a fan of MLS. AEG - get your *bleep* together and be realistic, and David - please pony up the dinero! None of this "waiting for a phone call" crap - you guys better be AT THE TABLE this week - holidays my butt.

P.S. LCAB - did you see the news that Beckham WANTS a loan in the MLS offseason now this morning? Is there any possibility that's still us? (The Galaxy boards have already wondered whether or not to crucify him again. Sigh).
 
Good lord - I just saw the effect of LCAB posting. 7 people reading, 4 guests, and the views shot up from 207 to 397 in the two minutes it took me to write my post.

I have to confess my bookmark for GOT is a search on LCABs posts. Saves a lot of time.

Personally, I'm seeing this playing out much like the Nativity.

We ( the blessed of Blue) as a nation await the returnl of the Saviour of Man in the form of The Fod the Almighty, born unto us in his father's image ( Tim Donovan). Whilst three wise men ( Kenwright, Moyes and 'S') follow a bright and shining Star (LCAB)which guides them through this mire of a tale. With bated breath we anticipate his impending arrival in the hope that Herod himself (MLS) will not kill this story before it has time to live.

For he shall come from the East and he shall reign forth upon the Land of Goodison and he shall be worshipped from high above St.Luke's spire and he shall smite the castle of Grey Skull, for he is Landon of Donovan..all praise the Fod Almighty

Failing that..Brian of Nazerath may have to do :(
 
well, LD is currently in NY - he was at the NY Giants v. Philadelphia Eagles football game yesterday.

So could that mean he's there to talk to Garber about the exhorbitant price and lay the law down - "Hey, the Don...lower the price. I want to go Blue."

I think he'll come, and whilst he's not the answer to all our problems, his pace, movement and decent footballing ability will be more than useful. It'll be interesting to see where Moyes uses him, he did have some problems against teams who sat back and cut off his space. Maybe the previous experience will have helped him though, you have to take that into consideration with Donovan, he's only had 10-15 games under his belt, which isn't alot.
