I like how he congratulated the two countries on Twitter first, but now he's moved on to saying things like this: "I have an idea..we play Qatar in a friendly(they can even host it), and the winner gets to host the 2022 WC..wait, do they even have a team?"

It's like he's had his gracious moment and then went 'fcuk this' and got drunk and went all 'Qatar amirite???'

haha, i was thinking the same thing - "hmmm, he must have imbibed a bit." He'll wake up tomorrow and go..."oh, what did I do?"

Brings to mind his commercial he made for FSC after the Earthquakes won MLS Cup in 2003 and he was finally just old enough to drink - he was completely drunk on champaigne and they had to splice it together and all he had to say was "You're watching Fox Soccer Channel." lol.

Now this brought me out of my misery. Smart business move on our part to send someone. TX Bill - look, they can do it!!!!!!

Also cool that it's not through his agent - that's a good sign to me.

I really really don't want to say bummer (which by the way is a very Californian phrase, and as LD is from SoCal, it's natural. I say it all the time and I'm from NoCal).

I"m going to have to hit up an internet cafe in Chile. It's going to kill me not to check this for two weeks.

EDIT: Oh, and he updated his twitter about the Qatar comment to say he was joking and to tell everyone to relax. :)
