Surely it's good that they got battered isn't it? Now he has a tiny bit more time to rest up and get himself ready to play us. I predict he will play for is at home to Spurs in January.
As for his comment, what else was he supposed to say?!

I think yes and no. Good that he gets the extra rest, but it sure would be easier on him to stamp his foot and say "I'm going" if he had won it all. Not saying he still won't push to leave MLS if needed, but he seems very loyal and it would be easier on him to leave the Galaxy if he had been able to bring them some silverware.

Something like "Oh yeah" is what you say unless you are a drama queen/attention whore like Lebron James. F that guy!

By the way, he was already itching to leave by the time Rob Stone asked that last question. It's possible that he didn't even completely understand what was asked. I thought of it as kind of a brush-off response more than anything.

Roy Williams said he didn't give a [Poor language removed] about Carolina after Kansas lost the national championship to Syracuse. Roy Williams has now won 2 championships at Carolina.

Yeah don't remind me. I'm a Jayhawk. Of course, we got Self and won a Championship and so did you so I guess it worked out.

I don't think anyone could deny that he wants to play for us (on loan, permanently, however he can, etc). However on the Galaxy boards most are saying that he hasn't been sharp since returning from World Cup. I haven't watched all or even most of the Galaxy matches but from what I've seen I'm inclined to agree. I'm not even sure that physically he is in a position where he could really help us. Would 6-ish weeks be enough to recover from the 2+ years he's played footie nonstop? At his age? Hard to say.

*prays for the return of Landon*

*prays*

*prays some more*

*cries hoping to see Landon skipping down our wing again*

*prays to the almighty. Please bring him back*

There are some real tools on the Galaxy board - quite a few don't know their arse from a hole in the ground.

Yeah, he's tired, but the work he's put in on the wing for the Galaxy vs. the Sounders was fantastic.

Vs. Dallas, he was stopped by a keeper playing out of his mind in the first half; and then he was stopped by his own team's crap midfield that couldn't get him the ball in the second half. There towards the end, he was running all the way to the defensive end, to win the ball back, give it to a teammate and then race back up the field...only for his teammate to give the ball away in mid flight. He worked his tired butt off and was hung out to dry pretty much. And he just didn't have the legs left to carry the team to victory.

Give him 6 weeks off - he'll be more than ready to give his all for Everton...and what's going for him in Blue is that he won't have to basically carry the entire team all alone. He can do his job and help the team as a whole.

I will admit though: I'm a little nervous after hearing his post-game comment of "Oh, yeah," about being with the Galaxy next year. I am anxiously awaiting lcab to weigh in yet again.

Can he play on the left cos right now that is where we need strengthning.

That is where he played last night, down the left side. LD can play on either wing or up front behind a striker. Where is he best suited? That would probably be on the right wing in my opinion.

It's always gonna be hard for a player to give an 'honest' answer when they are grabbed straight after a game or asked a very loaded question without ruining their credibility, no matter how much they are biting their tongue. How many times are players asked about their manager or the England manager. They ain't gonna **** 'em off in fear that they'll never get picked again.

If L.D says anything negative about the Galaxy now, whilst he's still on their pay role, he's gonna sound unprofessional and very un-L.D !! Heaven forbid anything goes wrong at Everton, he can't burn all his bridges, just yet with the MLS ! There is still the prospect that , as LCAB points out, he's initially here on loan until a permanent deal can be agreed :)
