Registered just to add my 2 cents. Do we think that he's really invested in a future with Everton? There is no doubt that his experience there was the best of his life BUT he seems to want to help to build the MLS these days. Some of his older interviews he talks about leaving a legacy with the US league, it would be hard to do that if he were to leave. Also, not sure what's going on with Bianca, but it'd be hard to rebuild a marriage from another country as well.

He's already agreed to come in January mate, so I think that answers where his priorities lie. I think it must have been hard to motivate himself going from the Premier League and the World Cup back to the US League, and fair enough as he's a top player.

He's 29 too. Coming to the last stage of his career. Better shot at playing at the elite level of football than looking back when he's finished saying he missed out to play at that level.
If he does come permo (which Im not 100% sure he will)...you can see him going back the MLS at 33-34 and retiring there like most players do.

I don't know a single American who ends their sentences with the word 'lad' , unless they've been influenced by the current trend in Liverpool to use the word as a common alternative to such words as 'man' or 'dude' etc..

Stu has always used lad and the like ....he is Scottish as well. Many of his friends (including US teammates) use the term back at him as bit of teasing/male bonding of the non-bumming kind

I don't care what you need to do. Rob a bank. Take out a loan. Play loads and loads of lotto. Sell a player (one we all approve of selling of course). Hold a bake sale (I'll ship cupcakes and muffins!). But we badly need a breath of fresh air. The same air that helped us at the beginning of the year. And when one of our players is clearly wanting to go (cough Peanuts cough), and that player's been one of the best players on the pitch, we need backup. And stat.
Turn out your pockets and buy "the" American. He will not be the answer to all our problems, but he sure as hell will help. No loan. Straight purchase.

Yup - much to my chagrin they got spanked tonight. Bummer, I was hoping Landon would leave on a positive note. Sigh. Oh well - here's to when I get to see him play in two months rather than four.
