Most of the Eurosnobs in this country already have their teams, but the market is still pretty wide open. If Everton sign LD and tour the US next summer...watch out. How many shirts would it take to build a new stadium??

OMG - great idea about the tour! He might be stoned in LA though (wince).

I do , Sir , and that will be about the ball-park figure .

Imagine bringing Landy on yday to run at Carragher ???

Sooner the better for me , mate .

And that would make him the highest MLS sale ever (over Jozy's $10mil). Seems like the MLS would take this deal, and it would put LD at an appropriate rate relative to Jozy.

LD + Seamus on one side. What will the slow EPL teams do with this?????????????????? Pace, pace and more PACE! Stuff it Carragher.

I guarantee you only about 0.2% or even less of the American population have heard or seen the flag burnings. They haven't shown it on the news at all. The only reason I know is from this forum. Otherwise, I wouldn't have known what was going on.

Yes, I take that into account - but if your a fan of football (soccer) and I don't just mean a casual observer. But some one really wants to know what's going on with their club, by that I mean some one who visits not only the Official sites but the fan forums ( such as this one) and the sporting media based in the U.K, you will be fully aware of the state of affairs not only on the surface of Liverpool F.C but the cancer that runs through that club which is exemplified by their fans out pouring of anger via their marches and demonstrations. If I want to read about the Philadelphia Eagles ( E.A.G.L.E.S go Birds!!) then I'll visit the 'Green Legion' or listen to 97.5 the Fanatic of 610 the Whip - not Sky sports news here in the U.K

If the casual soccer fan in the U.S knew exactly how the Liverpool fans here truly felt about the U.S involvement in their precious club and the animosity it has caused, I can assure you the balance of power would be shifting from Red to Blue very quickly :)

But your right, the goings on of a soccer club in Liverpool, England is never going to make the headlines of Fox News or give Rush Limbaugh cause for concern :) and that's why the majority of U.S public will either never know or even care about it .

Has this been mentioned yet?

LA Galaxy have made a surprise u-turn and are now ready to let Landon Donovan return to Everton in the New Year.

The American international was a big hit at Goodison when he moved there on a four-month loan deal at the start of the year.
Donovan became a fans' favourite at the club and claimed he would be open to returning there if possible.

Everton were keen on a permanent deal for the 28-year-old forward but Galaxy insist he is not for sale at any price.
The Major League Soccer side have, however, decided to let Donovan move back to Everton in the winter having previously stated they were not prepared to let him go.

And now David Moyes is planning on offering the striker the chance to return to Goodison, with a deal expected to be offered when the transfer window opens.

It is superb news, but it's bittersweet as it means our trouble right side has a 'lets look at what you could have won' feel to it for 4 months.

Actually listeners of World Football Daily here in the U.S. know all about the flag burning and the RS anti-Americanism (although they seem to be fine with these Americans - kunts). Let's just say the hosts and Liverpool fans aren't are the best of terms, and any chance they get to stick it to them they do. It's wonderful.

That's a bit much.

Liverpool isn't close to being hated around here.

True. Most Americans only know of Liverpool now because the Red Sox bought them. There's not a lot of Norwegians stateside. Actually, I'd be hard pressed to find any American (aside from us Blues) that spit on the [Poor language removed]. Ambivalence and ignorance reign supreme here.

I am devotee of the Church of L.C.A.B..

Now read this article posted today. Our Landon, ya gotta love the guy. He states that 'right now' he'd say no..but that's 'cos hes knackered! But, like he says, after a a bit of break and some much needed rest he'd say YES. Considering the loan isn't until January and he will of had a few weeks rest after that MLS season ends ( is that right American readers?) then he'll be raring to go ago..just in time for the return game against the R.S on January 15th :)
