Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

He should'nt have been in charge for the last two seasons, never mind two games.

He's announced like many player do, he will be leaving when his contract expires. Which is not yet, therefore he finishes what is left he is getting paid for.

And I fully expect over the next couple of weeks till he departs not only will he still give his all for efc but he will be giving advice to bill on potential new managers, players who he was looking at and I imagine having a word in the ears of several youngsters with advice about there futures.

And yeah he deserves a good send off, he got offered the best job in probably world football, time to show some class not bitterness

If plebs like us resign, plebs at the lower end of the food chain, we have to serve our notice period. Fine, but how many executives, at the top of the food chain do that? None. I've seen execs escorted out by security as soon as the word is given. If the boss at BA was poached by Virgin, he'd be out the door ASAP, regardless of how good a bloke he was. They would ensure their corporate integrity before sentimentality.

I wouldn't mind if he's there for a send off, but if he's in charge of the game, and he knows who he's taking with him, then what's to stop him subbing those players off too soon?

No they wouldn't and Moyes hasn't been poached.

What's the difference between say if Moyes was given the United job this week and it not be announced until after the season... But everyone at both clubs knew but the fans?

Would people still fume if they didn't know?

I think people are getting confused and upset with the difference between not wanting him here for the next 2 games and not respecting what he has done for us. He's moved on, so should we. Tim Cahill didn't get a goodbye, it's not Hollywood, it's football.

This a million times.

I really want to live in your world of rainbows and happy bunnies.

All footballers are mercenaries. Actually most humans are come to think of it. Dont be daft.

So you're expected a reserve team out who aren't arsed, and us to be rolled over by West Ham because the players and manager aren't bothered...

Laughing here.

Of course they wouldnt...they wouldnt know...

The problem is we do know. And its weird to have him managing us for the remains of the season. Someone mentioned above that players leave when their contracts running out all the time. Its not the same thing, players are not in charge of the clubs affairs or pick the team.

Where did I say that?

We may get beat by West ham anyway. What happens then?

I just dont understand your (and others) opinion on this at all. Maddeningly so. Its a ridiculous situation for us to be in.

It's not bitterness ffs! Jesus H I'm getting sick of reading that line.

That is the only "weapon" the IMWT brigade have left in their armoury, Elong.

To call those of us whom still retain a bit of self respect as Evertonians "bitter".

Basically it is transferance.

They believed all the guff they wrote on here and on other Everton forums about he wasn't signing the contract until the end of the season because of some noble plan to make the board open the coffers and his prevarication was merely a ploy to force Kenwright's hand.

They now know they got it spectacularly wrong and that Moyes was acting purely from self interest and was stringing EFC along.

But they can't deal with it. They are so deep in denial that they lash out at people who just shrug and say "you know what....Moyes wasn't all that....let him go and we'll start life afresh this Sunday".

No way

They want to give their man a hero's farewell because to face up to the reality of what has just happened would be to undermine everything they believed about The Moyesiah.

In actual fact I think having him there on Sunday might be a good thing....thet might have a collective light bulb moment and realise how pathetic the pantomime is making us look.

Have you got a short memory DM I will sign my new improved contract at the end of January, then it was lets see were we finish - you are not telling me that this move to man U has not been on the cards for months maybe since January - BK has been again taken for a complete fool, no surprises there! in yester year our ruthless chairman John Moore's had been our chairman in the old days he would have hailed a taxi as soon as he refused to sign his new contract - BK needs to sell & get out just still an actor!

I know what my opinion is already, but I have spoken with 2 mates today, one a United fan and one a Chelsea fan.

Both agree that his desk should be cleared by now and he should not be near the squad again.

It is completely ridiculous that he is still being allowed to run 1st team affairs and it is only happening because our clueless biff of a chairman won't do the right thing.

What is this wank? More like we have given Moyes 11 years of being in charge of one of the best and proudest clubs in the land and all whilst being extremely well paid.

He should feel honoured. Not us.

Spot on mate, Maybe they shoud follow Moyes FC to the other en of the M62. They obviously have little respect for Everton FC.

Moyes would have known for a long time. He was groomed long before but waiting for the Old Guy to step down probably took a little longer.

BK would have known too, but whats he going to do? In his eyes Moyes is the man.

I just wouldn't like to be in Moyes shoes if we lose to West Ham.

I don't know what he's trying to achieve by staying on. It could all go horribly pear shaped if the team don't turn up.
