Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

But how is it any different to a player such as Arteta or Cahill or whoever, that is leaving after a big stint at the club. I can understand if they leave with a sour taste such as Lescott, but otherwise, thank them for their time and move on. Even Kendell left us because of the European ban rather than sticking by us...

It's not like we're making a statue of him...

... does this mean we can ditch that "people's club" bollocks, finally?

Lescott should never have played his last game v Arsenal as his head was already at City....as Moyes shouldn't manage Everton when his head is at United.
One player you didn't mention was Pienaar..he got slaughtered for running his contract down without saying a word about his future...strike any chords with anyone else?

If he signs for United then I think it has to be before the weekend due to UTDs stock value.

If he does this then he should take no part in the last 2 games -- its mental to think otherwise.

We're not Moyeserton wer're Everton.

I respect Moyes for what he has done at the club and for giving us fans some pride back and I will always respect the man but.....This move to Manchester United should be the end of the bollocks we have all been guilty to some degree of letting unfold.

I'm talking about this enemy of my enemy ****e where plucky little Everton laugh with the Man Utd fans at the horrible ****s that share our city. Oh how we laugh as our finest young talent in decades is stolen away and they so kindly allow us to buy their cast offs. Oh how we laugh as our best manager in decades runs down his contract and joins our ever so friendly ''rivals'' on a free.

As far as I am concerned that club can **** right off as can each and every one of their so called fans. I'm sick of looking at other clubs with eyes of envy, I'm sick of the constant speculation regarding our best players but most of all I'm sick of the portrayal of our once great club.

''Punching above their weight'' as we so readily hear in the media to describe our current state. ''A shoe string budget'' to describe the way our current squad was assembled. All of this whilst we sit idly by as our no mark chairman feeds us bull**** after bull****, All of this as we all fear a return of lower half finishes.

I guess what I'm getting at is that it's about time we stood up and stopped other teams and fans taking the piss and that starts with an exciting new manager coming in, telling Man Utd and the rest of the money clubs and their fans to **** right off, letting Bill Kenwright know that he's a bad bellend who brings shame to our club every time he opens his mouth or shows his hamster cheeked grid on the box and by fully supporting the 11 men in Royal Blue on the Goodison pitch.

It really is time to step out of the shadows.

Kenwright will be here for another ten years and we'll still not have a trophy to our name.

Seriously cannot believe it's been 18 years since that FA Cup win.

If ever there was a time for Kenwright to sell and allow us to start afresh it is now.

It won't happen of course, but it's nice to dream.

IF Moyes and Kenwright both thought a royal blue send off against West Ham was appropriate - as Moyes leaves plucky old Everton to take on a dream job at Old Trafford

Then I hope the Blue Union organise a march against the state of play at Goodison. I and the rest of the Dell Boy family would be on it for sure!

Wouldn't mind seeing the reaction if he is still in charge at the weekend. I'd hope the fans tell him to **** right off! Have loads of respect for the job he's done but you can't expect to mug Everton off for Utd and get applause for it surely!?

If he's agreed a deal to leave at the end of the season then why doesn't he finish the season??

Change his role to interim if it makes you feel better...should mouriniho not finish real's games, Rafael finish Chelsea's ???

I just don't get it really, yes he's moving on but there's nothing to suggest he wouldn't do his job properly for the last 2 games.

Not suggesting he wouldn't do his job properly just feel sick that we have to smile and applaud while he preens in front of the cameras. Kenwright had better be focused on a new manager

Jesus can you not see how pathetic that would make us look?

It doesn't happen in football. Once you've agreed to go - then you go.

If the fat spanish waiter announced he'd agreed to take over at Arsenal then Chelsea would not have him at Stamford Bridge. Likewise if Mourinho was off to Athletico or someone then that'd be a no go.

There just isn't an example of this being done before - for bloody good reason.

Arteta and Cahill are not comparable! Former went in the dead of night. Latter went to the US (but even then I thoguht the announcement came after his last game).

I dont doubt his professionalism at all. It just sets the wrong example for me. Lots of managers go on "gardening leave" and all that. We need to escape from the post Moyes hangover straight away and that should start today.

This. He will get the send off but it won't feel right. A bit like kissing the wife goodbye after finding out she leaving for bigger, better guy down the road

I know what you mean mate. We need to start the post moyes era today. No point letting him hang round for last two games. We need to move on immediately. This football club is bigger than any individual. The idea of him managing us if he is already confirmed as leaving and as united's new manager just seems small time.

It depends if our next manager is ready and available to come in. If we are waiting for Martinez, he wont come until the close season anyway. If it is someone who is out of work, then why not bring them in straight away? The sooner they get in and get to know the players, the better.

Having said that, if they are not ready to come in I don't see the point of letting Moyes go and having Steve Round manage the team for two weeks, I think that would just increase the uncertainty and make things worse.
