Should Moyes be in charge for the last two games?

This is a question for those who are going the match, would like to know what the season tickets holders think about his final game at goodison.

Well, I have already stated that if he is announced as the United boss before Sunday but is still in charge of the team I will not be going the game.

I shall let my nephew use my season ticket.

I just think it is inapproprriate under the circumstances and we need to move on right away.

By all means have him at the game.....and announce his name so's he can have a standing ovation.

But IMO there is absolutely no point in having him take charge of the team in a game we still need to win to cement sixth place and the extra couple million quid it will bring in.

He deserves a standing ovation from Goodison before he goes. Good luck to him

When has this ever been done before? When has a player/manager announced he's leaving to a rival in the same league and got an ovation before he goes?

IT HASNT EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!

FOR GOOD BLOODY REASON.

Its hasn't happen ever cos Moyes is a good fella mate and done a wonderful job and is one in a million.

I am not happy that a man who will be going to manage another club will be in charge of the club in a period where a swing of results could still potentially see us either finish 5th in a Europa league position or in 7th behind our local rivals.

I've lost a lot of respect for Moyes with the way he's leaving us. He want to move on and that fair enough as I think its time for both him and us to go our seprate ways anyway but this running down of his contract this past year has undone a lot for me. Kenwrong has let him rule to roost for far to long (paying him more then all of his playing squad, all the wile telling us what a wonderful manger he is and how lucky we are to have him). Yes Moyes has been a good everton manger but no way is he a great Everton manger, no trophies, no wins any at the "big four" (plus ****efield), his god awful record against lower league sidesand the constant bricking it in the big matchs. Good luck at Utd David but don't expect applaude you wile you stab us in the back. Ill applaude you next season on your return to Goodison as you deserve but I'm my eyes at least your not Everton manger anymore.

DM not fit to be compared with the Cat or Howard Kendall as managers = fact he won us nothing - Gregg wanted to sack him when we finished 17th -I admit this seasons early performances showed promises of sustained decent football for the first time then we faded as he played his older favourites United want him for selecting young players they are in for a big shock imo!

Very true, Joey.

The Fergie legend is very much founded on the crop of kids he unleashed in the mid 90s and stuck with them even when Hansen was deriding him with the "you'll win nothing with kids" jibe.

I think it fair to say that if Moyes had been at OT then he would never have taken that chance with the kids in the first place, let alone stick by then when things got tough.

And United fans seem to realise all of this.

They seem prety much bemused at this appointment.

The Moyes fan club in the meejah are bigging it all up, of course, but those United fans will take some convincing.

And if United were to have a sluggish start next season.......well, the fans won't be to long in making their feelings known.

Moyes and Ferguson have had a agreement for years, why do you think we got Phil the skill, Torrettes Tim and the poor mans keane for so cheap. The deal to take moyes to united was done last year, but city won the league, and Ferguson was not going to let that be the last thing that happened in his footballing career.

We should let Moyes finish the season, we should say thank you, people have really short memories. Ok we have not won a cup, but then we haven't been involved with a relegation struggle either, the man stabilized and push our club forward to where we are now. We are not going to get into the top 5 with out solid investment that is the nature of the beautiful game now, so saying he was poor or he didn't deliver makes you sound like a arsenal fan. There are aspects of Moyes tenure that will always be remembered, some poor signings, some interesting tactics but the thing we should remember is he got our team playing some good football again. We should say thank you to the man, and not be bitter about him finally moving on to united (he was asked to be the assistant in 1999, so it was going to happen at some point). So I say thank you for your service, good luck in your new Job, expect to lose every game you bring United to the park pal.

Kenwright is a different story, like Moyes, he knew this day was coming, so lets see how quick he acts, and where he goes with the next appointment. We need investment, but do we sacrifice the football club financially by selling out to someone like venkys to maybe at some point win a Trophy. Who ever comes in as the new manager needs to be given any funds that come in from Felli and Baines and who ever else leaves, to rebuild, and to put a strong squad together.

As fans we need to be realistic, we are not going to tempt a european manager in, as we are not playing in europe, so we wi ll be looking at the ones who are unemployed, or one of the managers from lower in the league. Personally we should get eddie Howe in, he pretty much done a moyes, by getting Bournemouth up twice in two season on a shoe string. I know this is not a popular choice, but I think it is a good one for the clubs future.

LOL at the Moyes haters, well they are usually the same bunch as the Kenwright haters, you can feel the joy in some of their comments. Disgraceful.

Ha Ha - b*llocks!

Or there's a sane middle ground which can see the wood for the trees in both issues.

Moyes deserves respect from the fans. I would hate to hear him booed at the weekend and I for one won't be partaking in it if that occurs.

I think he has done very well for the club, bringing us from relegation battles to Europe contenders on a shoestring budget. However I do think he has done all he can for us, his ideas are going no where. Insisting on playing Naismith when he clearly isn't good enough to be at the football club, and his lack of ambition in attack. It is time for a change, it's just unfortunate that it has come before our season is over.

Mate, they all clap Kenwrong when he comes on the big screen, he's never going to get a boo!
