I love how there's so many people at the moment that want him out but can't provide a replacement.

Big Dunc or Steve McLaren are two hilarious ones I've heard so far.

RM stays until he becomes mid table mediocrity or we go down, Kenwright likes him.

Said it before, say it again, Karanka.

Good for you. I've only ever considered sacking him for the sake of maintaining our place in the PL. Fail to see why I should ever be embarrassed by that.
Because we were never in any danger. We weren't a month ago, we aren't now and we wont be in a months time. It's been a concocted bit of scaremongering that's taken this place down like a fever.

He has a long contract and will see it out.

5th last season with a record number of points; 12th as we stand this season with a nightmare period coming to an end it looks like.

There is no talking to be had at the end of the season.

What if this season, his second becomes a new record for the lowest number of points.

Last season is in the past, stick to the current time frame that is what counts.

I agree that most of that list, Jags apart, should be moved on, sharpish, but the fact that most of them remain, almost 2 years after Moyes left, is not down to Moyes.

Of course. Martinez made a series of blunders. He played conservative last summer when he really should have used his position of power and credibility to go through this squad like a dose of salts eliminating all the weaknesses and getting replacements in.

It hasn't been just an opinion though - a debate that's had and put away. It's taken over the whole of Everton's forums like a blanket of doom thrown over the club.

That filters down to morale.

I honestly think at the end of the season we'll look back at the period between December and February as a period when mass hysteria took hold.

There's going to be a lot of embarrassed people...and quite rightly so.

But it hasn't been put away. People are still talking about it... I think you want it to be put away because you
i) want to be right
ii) won't admit that you might have it wrong

tbh I would like nothing more than Roberto's catalonian version of the one true jerusalem/EFC/total footballing Philosophy to hammer everybody in sight...I just don't think it will happen and it may sooner or later ( like wigan ) all end in tears.

So despite evidence to the contrary do you believe that those who want Martinez out have been just as vociferous these past 20 hours than in previous weeks?

One win was very welcome as was the three points but when all said and done the performance was not great but we held on.
I agree - nothing to do with my observation though.

We have 4 very tough games coming up which are not going to be easy but there is a chance of picking up some points.
I also agree - again nothing to do with my observation.

Now if we do not pick up any up after those 4 games and still on 26 points you will be of the same opinion stick with RM?

Depends on a few factors mate but mostly on whether or not we look like being relegated under his management. At the moment I don't think we are which is what I have felt all season. I also believe that he deserves another season after the success of the last one.

If we are dragged into a relegation battle or if next season we aren't making any progress then it would be silly not to be advocating change.

Comical Ali proclaiming there's never been any danger and it's all sound for the next 4 years after a 1-0 scrappy win at the mighty Crystal Palace. Ok lad whatever you say

The players havent been the issue for most of this season.

The Managers tactics, man management and stubborness to adopt a plan b have been the cause and root of everything.

The air has come rushing out of that balloon.

As for being proven right, I was never going to be wrong. It wasn't on the cards for us to be relegated at any point.

We've had a poor season. Draw a line under it and move on.

Osman, picked whenever fit by Martinez
Distin, given a new contract by Martinez
Jags, LOL, deadwood? GTFO
Hibbert, given a 2 year contract by Martinez, LOL
Pienaar, Injured
Howard, hes had 3 windows to fix this
Gibson, Injured

2/10, must try harder David

Then add in the RM deadwood.

Barry for a start, 3 year extension to take him to 36!

Going to be careful now who else I call Rm deadwood, perhaps Goat you could fill in.

Nah.

Personnel. Injured or out of form or over the hill.

He's a very good manager. No question in my mind. Give him time,

Make do and mend, it's called.

Martinez basically plaited sawdust in the first season making this lot work. It was the work of a magician. His big mistake was thinking he could perform the same trick twice.

He cant. They have to go en masse and I think they will this summer too.

But if our Ex did it you would be saying WTF!
