Sadly, no. Way past his best and should probably think of retiring soon. Would like to see Browning get a chance playing there if Coleman is still not fit. Stones isn't the answer tho, he should definitely stay in the centre of defence.

Hibbo is past his best, but he shouldn't have to be ridiculed in these forums either.
Fantastic servant and would play any position for the cause if he was asked.
Fantastic servant......... Thats besides the point. The OP has asked should he be back up to Coleman and the answer is no he shouldn't. He is absolutely piss poor and pretty much has been for quite some time. Being a fantastic servant doesn't win you games mate. You pick your best 11 available and he shouldn't even be near the first team squad anymore. I was shocked he was given an extension. Its sad im saying these things to one of my own players but at least i'm honest.

Last nights game only confirms that being a fantastic servant to the team won't win you games.

He's awful

I think the comments on Hibberts performance last night are harsh, he wasn't at fault for any of the goals, two of them come from us giving the ball away in the middle & he was caught out of position.

He's offers decent cover for Coleman, I'd like to see Browning given a chance but Hibberts still got something to offer if called upon.

Did you watch the game?

Our current setup relies on having a goal threat from both fullbacks. Without Coleman's contributions we would have finished similarly to Southampton. Hibbert has been an excellent servant to Everton but he has always offered absolutely nothing going forward. To have played so many games and never scored is very poor. He has also lost a bit of his tenacity now so for me he should be nowhere near a starting Premier league lineup. I am sure he still contributes enough off the pitch though to have warrented his contract. He was always good positionally and has aided Coleman's progress. Hopefully Jonjoe and Tyas will benefit too.

No, he's done as a Premier League player which barely ever was anyway.

Hard-tackling full-backs are dying out, nowadays you've got to be able to link up with a winger and be able to play the ball yourself if you need too. Hibbert absolutely can't do any of that. That and he can't run.

Those saying he shouldn't be anywhere the first team are making his aim of learning a coaching role difficult.

I always wonder how much difference a good man in the shed does to a team. It does seem a luxury.

Third choice at best. Now get off his back.

Since I joined GOT, all I have heard is how much a legend Hibbert is, how great a player he is etc etc. So I am surprised so few GOT members voted yes in the poll. For me, Hibbert deserves our support and should be Coleman's back up for at least this season.

Besic should start ahead of Hibbert at RB. I'd probably play Besic ahead of Tim Howard just to get him on the pitch but he played RB a lot last season anyway apparently.

Was hard enough trying to pick which shirt to get Bešić on without having the choice of 3 goalie tops and all. Not happy with this.

He has my full support. When he's on the pitch, he's playing for Everton and I'll back him completely. I'd just rather he wasn't.
