Perspective is good isn't it? We had as many people die from Covid over a weekend during January as we have had killed by terrorists in the past 50 years (and the vast majority of those were IRA related rather than from Muslim ray-guns). Since 9/11, there have been an average of 7 deaths per year from terrorism, with nearly all of those resulting from the Tube attack in London and the Manchester bombing. In other words, for most of us it's practically no threat at all.
Wow!

Nobody has died from a nuclear weapon attack for 75+ years.

So, by that logic, we face no threat from it, so everyone should be able to have one in their garden shed.

It is obviously flawed logic. Terrorism 'isn't a threat' because we've took it seriously as a threat - the low incidence numbers of it is because we make it difficult to do, reducing it by and large to lone maniacs.

TBF there really is a comparison that should be made between terror attacks and pandemics - both were at the top of the national risk register and yet they’ve done rather more about one than the other (as we’ve all just found out).

I think it's the word "perspective" that seems to have got you muddled, as you've veered from thinking we should all be hiding under the table to some suggestion that has only ever been made in your head that there is no threat at all from it. I live five minutes from where the two attacks were made on London Bridge so am aware that bad things do happen. All I said was that it's important to ensure that the "cure" is not more harmful than the illness.
