She'll be back alright...She will end up here, and rightfully so

Ultimately it's one of those situations where none of the eventual outcomes are 100% ideal for anybody.
I still think she's our problem to deal with though. Casting her out for another country to deal with is very much the political equivalent of burying your head in the sand in my opinion.
That said, her coming back here, as pointed out, presents its own set of problems.
In short, I haven't a Scooby Do what should happen realistically lol

Bit late for that given her face has been all over the national news for years. We are happy to give two boys new identities for life for murdering a 2 year old boy., we could do the same for this girl, no problem. Face don't fit though
I know i has been said already, but, imagine if she was white and blonde but in exactly the same situation......"bring a victim home..." they'd cry.
Except no. Look up Jack Letts. Samantha Lewthwaite would be in the same boat.
This isn't a race issue; that's a lazy argument.
I'm pretty sure Jack Letts wasn't stateless though as he also has Canadian citizenship.
No but he had his UK citizenship stripped, just as Begum did.
Racism isn't a factor in the treatment of Begum.

Not by you, maybe, but by many!No but he had his UK citizenship stripped, just as Begum did.

But they aren't comparible as one is now stateless (which is the problem) and one isn't.
I didn't mention race.
Any choice a vulnerable child makes is very different to that of an adult, for obvious reasons. If I was held accountable for all my childhood misdemeanours Id be still be incarcerated, fortunately, I was treated as a child, and the rest is history. She deserves the same opportunity
They both had the same action taken. The only difference was Letts had Canadian citizenship; the UK determined Begum had an entitlement to Bangladeshi.
