seems a long time ago now...

You are living proof of the old maxim that states "misery loves company".

I reckon that is why so many Sad Sacks come here....to find like minded malcontents whom are only happy when they are unhappy.

From what I recall, no one round these parts talked about us "winning the league when we play well in one game".

That is just a figment of your imagination and yet another example of "kneejerking".

Hope this helps.

Martinez didn't spend, because the players he wanted probably weren't available....so no point spending money just for the sake of it.....in the summer we will now have money, which i assume will be to try make the lukaku deal permanent (and sort out a deal for Barry, and another loan deal for deulofeu), and then add another 2 or 3 players.....
Yes I'm disappointed too things have gone against us lately (and its painful that Liverpool will get top 4), but we need to be a little patient too....this isn't Brendan Rodgers' first season at liverpool, they've been a work in progress for a few seasons now, Everton are still in their first season playing Martinez' way....

Can we please stop mentioning them in every thread?

Be it moyes or Martinez the reason why we have hit the rocks of late is our squad size. It only took until sunday that spurs who spent 100m on their squad in the summer, finally overtook us in the league. Only neutral observer will tell u who were the better team on the day and it wasn't them. But look at that result what it has done for their confidence, judging by their result last night.
The postponement last night has given Gerard, Coleman, tarore and lukaku more time to get over injuries. If we could manage to somehow beat Chelsea (a massive ask admittedly) it could rejuvenate our push for 4th. I for one is very happy with our season and if truth be told has so far exceeded the expectations of all evertonians, many who felt we would do well to retain our top 10 status, whilst adjusting to Roberto. Let's really get behind the team and let's see we're it could take us. Hopefully to wembley!!!!!

I think we should be positive , Only 1 hard away game left, a poor utd , knackered arsenal at home, we are city's bogey team. The game on Sun will set tone for final 12 games . Huge

I think some Evertonians are just determined to be miserable no matter what.

Literally the only 'bad' thing that has happened this season was the derby. Everything else has had mitigating circumstances.

There is a 'glass half empty' mentality that pervades many Evertonian psyches. Probably a defence mechanism to protect against inevitable disappointment lol

Agreed, though Fulham knocking us out of the league cup pissed me off at the time.
