Last years young player of the year, nominated for pfa young player of the year...

Ends up utter ****e the following year.

Jesus we're a fickle bunch.

Im giving Barkley 12months to do a 'rodwell'

How can you call people fickle ? Did they choose for him to be voted young player of the year ?

So sick of that line being thrown out.

He's been used as Neville's security blanket, providing cover for Mr Everton all day doesn't allow too much time to get your head down and drive at defenders as he did when he burst on the scene. That said, he's not a natural RM player and needs to be played once and for all at RB as others have said.

He should always have just been emergency cover there, but Moyes likes to attack down just one flank and keep the other flank solid it seems to me, so persevered with two RBs.

Seamus isn't a RW and should only be played at RB.

I think he is gonna find it hard to get in ahead of Hibbert. Regardless of what people think about Hibbert, his crossing has been excellent recently and he has been pretty solid in defence. For me, Seamus needs to be our number 2 RB, ahead of Neville. So when the opportunity arises through unjury he gets a chance to prove himself there. Give him a season, if he wins the RB place, then excellent, if he doesn't then he aint gonna make it.

Agree with this, but the lad needs a good pre-season to get himself in the right physical conditions. That Marchena challenege set him back a year, in effect.

He should have been snapped in half by our players after that disgraceful incident. He didn't even get a yellow card.

Moyes himself said he sees him as a RB last pre season, but doesnt seem to have the conviction to play him there when he has a mor defensive/experienced option, the same happened with Baines, took Moyes a long time to get over not having 3 cb's at the back and give Baines a run.

I think he's great as a squad player, filling in at RM and RB. In the final 20 minutes of a game when the opponent's defense is gassed, his aggressive attacking style could work very well. I just don't see him as a starting XI player. Simply not good enough. His defense is mediocre at best and he has no variety or quality in his wing play.

Everton have more player position issues than my bloody Ultimate Team.
Coleman was brilliant last year, but that's my opinion. This season however he's been toiled with injures like the rest of our squad did. Hopefully we manage to bring in an RM this summer, and hopefully get him to his rightful position.

I think if it wasn't for the recent good form of Hibbert, Coleman would have been given a shot at right back as Moyes still would have had 3 centre halfs at the back due to the injury to Baines.

Fickle as in...he was voted young player of the year by the fans (i believe) last year, now he's been slated this year.

The lads a good player. Has more spark and rawness than 90% of the side. He's improved on his bag of tricks rather than being headless but the only problem is that he needs space to run into. Slotting in a RB would give him space to bomb on.

But you can't call people criticising him fickle unless you know they voted him young player of the year last year.

RB or bust.

It doesnt have to be for the people that voted for him...he was also nominated for PFA young player of the year too. The point being is that, poor season aside, he's still a talented player still waiting to seal a place.

So IMO it is fickle that some fans label him as being instantly **** due to this injury plagued season when you'd hazard a guess that they were saying how good he was last season.

Its a flip switch per season rather than letting a young kid develop and judging him when he's in a settled position over a season or 2 IMO
