2025/26 Seamus Coleman

Surely he'll be announcing his retirement soon to allow the club and fans to prepare a proper send off for him?

Who am I kidding? We all know he's getting yet another year!
If he is given another year, it will be on significantly reduced wages, more akin with coaching staff. Personally, we should have parted ways years ago.

I dont think anyone is any mood to let a player like Coleman leave this summer.

Probably another 12 months on top of this and we'll see him retire.

We just need a starting RB in and then Coleman for cover and allow JOB and Garner to get on with their proper roles at CB and CM.

That has to be the thinking.

Lets not just automatically offer him a coaching job like Ferguson, Unsworth etc.

As soon they left they were completely found out and can't get a job at any level now.

Let him prove himself at a lower level and if he's any good he'll find his way back here.

We really need to move on from jobs for the boys mentality. We need the best coaches at every level of the club, regardless of whether they played for us or not.

Neither naysayers, those with personal agenda, nor click bait matter.
Speculation around how much he is or isn’t paid is irrelevant. It’s to do with value add.

Everyone within and close to the Club understands what he brings to us, hence why he’s been retained to date.

As Moyes has said: ‘We want Seamus to be around us, whether he's a player or whether he is on the staff or whether he's a groundsman, we want Seamus Coleman to be around’.

Mate £10,000 a week in the football world at a premier club.
Yes, £10k a week because he'll be 38 in October, has had repeated injuries since the start of the 24/25 season and is unlikely to start many, if any, games.

If the club want him in a coaching role, then I'd be all for that, however it shouldn't be on a player's wage when that money could be used elsewhere.

*googles Premier League groundsman salary*

You know what David, I agree. Seamie, sit down mate and let’s chat.

Clearly key roles badly required.

Who you going to call..........
