Seamus and Richarlison linked up beautifully a number of times yesterday in a way that Seamus and Walcott never did. Any early season criticism of Seamus has to be cognitive of that fact. He's was excellent for Ireland on Tuesday against Georgia also.

Seriously though, it was good to see him back on top form on Saturday. There's been signs of gradual improvement in the weeks leading up to this game too. If he can continue this form until the end of the season then it could negate the need to fund a replacement in the summer. 2/3 months ago a new RB would have been high on an already extensive summer shopping list.

Seamus has indeed recaptured some of his swashbuckling form and it's good to see, and hopefully he can retain that form into next season.
As for replacing or signing another RB, with Kenny on the books and Holgate returning from West Brom, the need to go to the market place is reduced especially as we need to trim the already too large and expensive squad... and there are other areas that arguably need strengthening more urgently.
